Hello. This thread is meant to be a space solely and completely for proposing practical solutions to male/men's issues.

For any movement, it is obviously necessary to have a channel for proposing solutions that cannot be derailed into ideological retreat.

We, as a subreddit, and as a movement in general, have done a good job of identifying key issues that males face throughout the world(particularly, if I may say, on this subreddit, where issues are discussed in a more global context). We have encompassed a wide variety of issues related to human rights, death, war, and even the economic and social fields.

Thankfully, as well, institutional mechanisms do exist to address these. These include:

  • National & Regional coalitions & activist groups
  • Parliamentary coalitions( the APPG, for example, for the Brits here)
  • Government agencies(For example: a section on masculinity and work within the Austrian Ministry of Labour)

Building off of these institutional mechanisms, our movement is thankfully highly monitoring legal aspects of gender-related policy, and thus knows what needs to be changed in the first place on an empirical level.

Therefore, I wish to create this thread to connect the dots together between these factors to come up with the most organizable and plausible solutions possible, assuming they are in good faith to the movement.

Some requests/advice for the comments on this thread, given all that:

  • Please identify the constituting instrument of a given problem, relevant institutions, and activist planning
  • Please make all diplomatic solutions in good faith to the movemnt(i.e., no "see this issue also harms women, don't you want to help?). It destroys the principle(s)
  • Please, even in replies, keep it on topic to the original post.
In the end, I have no control over what you post here. That's up to the mods. I just hope we can find solutions. Regards.
