As someone who who endlessly hates on feminism I contend that the act of doing so is, in fact, helping. Because it isn't naive at all. Rather, opposition to feminism is necessary to break the power of the NOW and the other feminists organizations that essentially to a one promote sexism.

Even coffee shop feminists believe in and now use the term patriarchy, a hateful term that alienates men. There are of course dozens (of thousands) of equity feminists that do not participate in this, but their existance does not change that breaking the power of feminism is a necessary step to achieving justice for millions of divorcees and their children, university students, false accusation victims, domestic violence victims, and so much more.

The problem is that your average feminist does not agree that all the shitty feminists listed are assholes. Some are celebrated, and most at minimum have weasel wording excuses made on their behalf

This presentation is based on a false symmetry.

You're looking at feminists and men.

"Feminists" is a group that people opt in to. If you're a feminist then you chose to be and you can stop being that at any moment.

"Men" is a group based on an accident of birth. Leaving aside the discussion of trans men and women, if you're a man then you didn't choose to be one and you cannot stop being one.

Attacking feminists and attacking men are not morally equivalent. One is attacking someone for their choices. The other is attacking someone for their existence.

The group "feminists" can be said to attack men because it is a group based around ideology and activism. Being a member of the group implies acceptance of the ideology and support for the activism.

The group "men" cannot be said to attack feminists. "Men" cannot be said to do anything as a group. They do not act as a group. There's no ideology binding all men together and existing as a man does not imply that you support the actions of another man.

There are two primary camps of people who attack feminists. Both are made up of both men and women. There's the trad-cons who want to go back to a time of rigid gender roles and liberals who oppose the illiberalsim which has taken over the movement.
