Sounds good. Most work that’s not specifically related to actual construction can be done in about five minutes. Office work is stretched to 8 hours, most times nothing is needed, including coming into the office at all.

Everything can be done remotely in little time.

This stupid ass idea was proposed in Norway as well some years ago. Especially in healthcare related jobs where mostly women work (big surpise right). One arguement was to reduce sick leave (women have twice as much, go figure). Guess it only shows that women are fucking useless at work anyway, to demand full payment for less work. So I have to pay for a bunch of lazy skanks who can't handle their jobs, yey.

The cost of this project would be insane, at it would obviously affect taxpayers alot. They pay for goverment employees after all. Don't know a single MAN who asked for this, only women and feminized men.

This and the stupid wage gap whining is driving me insane. Clown world indeed.

the point of growing an economy is that most people have to work less for the same amount of money. the problem is, people today work the same hours as people working in a ford factory when cars wee invented. people today work harder than peasants in the 1300s, so honestly I do support shortening the work week and hours, especially considering most people in office jobs finish their work way ahead of time. Plus, theres plenty of other reason Finland is going to fail.

I work field service traveling to turn a wrench. 60 plus hours in 5 days is normalish.

I've been dreaming of a 2nd union attack wave against "the man" to make a new normalized work week of Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday. Off Wednesday and the weekend.

Hey it's a fliping dream.

So fuck it I hope Finland can show how it could be done.

Private sector for 40 or so years has trimmed the fat in the modern computer age. Lost jobs as others became more productive again and again. But the mucky mucks and many public big government jobs still have the bloat and impossible to be fired from jobs.

I am part Finish and part Swedish and i can tell you why these surveys are so positive. If you are very upset about the government.... then you will most likely throw their ****ing survey down the trashcan. No one wants to waste an hour working for free for the people they hate. Wasn't there a study once on this? With quite positive results too if I'm not mistaken. That by lessening the work days you actually motive workers more. In less time they had done more work. So it might actually just be a good move.
