So much this. It isn't even "nowadays." Back when I was in highschool in the '90s almost every girl I dated had some sort of "trauma" from their past that they not only told everyone about, but used it as a way to define themselves as "fucked up." As I've aged I've noticed that this trend has not changed.
Women are so boring they make up shit to make it seem like they had a troubled past, when in fact their claims of rape are either made up or willing drunken mistakes.
Think about it. Out of all the women everyone here has dated, how many admitted they were raped or abused within the first few days of knowing them and constantly brought it up as an excuse out of just about anything? They define themselves by this shit, and the majority of it is obviously made up. People don't freely talk about past traumas that were actually damaging. Those that have been truly abused know this, which makes this crap even more insulting.
