What a farce. Can you imagine any field less subjective or more reliant on sheer competence than physics? Have they ever actually met a physicist? The idea that physicists on the whole care about anything but rigor and truth is laughable. I can’t imagine being so far out of touch with reality as to believe that.

Good on the guy for stating the facts, but he'll just get fired or shuffled aside and the diversity machine will roll on as normal. Problem with this sort of thing is not only will he likely lose his job, but the Gender Studies spokeswomen then flip it and use this as evidence of misogyny in STEM and how it shows we need more women in STEM, more women in executive roles, better conditions for women and more handouts for women. None of the points he made will ever be addressed.
