Here's the way I see it:

By the time you're in your late 20's, regardless of gender, you're the person you're going to be for the rest of your life.

All of your tendencies; all of her quirks; all of your insecurities; all of her moods - those are hard-wired into your firmware. This is why people are shocked to realize that they're a product of their environment, but also more similar to their parents than they want to admit.

When you meet someone, this is a package deal. Of course, when you first meet someone new, they're the absolute best versions of themselves. Women will straight up suppress the crazy and it'll slip out once they get comfortable and think they've roped you in.

They'll also flat out lie online, and this is why taking your time with new girls and not going completely with your gut will save your ass if you take a moment to think. Falling head over heels in love is a sucker's game these days.

The old adage: "if it's too good to be true..." still works today.

Now, does this mean, as a man, are you doomed for failure, or are the sins of your parents now yours to carry forever? If you're in a rut, is this your lot and you're fucked?

Absolutely not.

Most men think about the future in terms of survival and comfort. What do I need to do to make things work, whether it's for me, or with my family. We'll figure out the goal, then a hustle, make a plan, and execute.

Women, in general, think about the future in terms of who will give them the best shot at survival with the most comfort. Rollo talks about this all the time. It's what has worked for them since the beginning.

A man will use self-discipline to change or adapt behaviors to improve his situation if he's got enough grit. He's also got the patience to grind away and achieve long-term results over time.

Women will try and change you to suit their needs. It doesn't help that modern society has told them they're perfect princesses who deserve the world and more. The delusion wasn't nearly as bad as today, but it was always there to some extent.

If you got back together with an ex, think back to your conversations and remember the topics that were being thrown around. More often than not she was doing the crying, venting, listing out problems that were your responsibility, and aspects of your personality you needed to change.

Of course, like an idiot, you just wanted access to regular pussy again so you agreed. And it's okay for a little while. She's doing a manual reset on you so you're custom fit for her like it was before. Only then she had years to slowly train you.

However, the same issues you fought about start to pop up again and you realize you did all the changing, but she didn't do a damn thing on her end. Then you finally buck, revert back to your old self, and now you're in the same shit all over again.

After 39 years of age, experiencing all this first-hand, and seeing what my married friends are going through, my solution is simple:

Don't Change.

My way works, and I know it works. Despite having women try to hold me back or complicate my life with drama, I'm still on track to achieve goals. People are always talking about relationships as compromise, but I don't feel I have to if the woman isn't bringing anything I equally want to the table.

She makes good money? Great, so do I. What else ya got? Can she be a good wife and mom? Let's start there. How would she treat me when things got tough? Would she help and make me stronger, or would she panic and pile more shit on me like it's my fault.

I used to be in search of true love, and I still believe in it, but now it's my turn for the fairy tale fantasy. It's either a perfect unicorn for me or I'm fine flying solo and hiring escorts when I feel like it. After all, what I want are a woman with all those qualities, but also young and hot.

This "Ride or Die" chick needs to understand that it's my ride she's joining, not the other way around, and not some weird combination of our ideas. She wants a massive house and fancy cars? She's paying for half, doesn't matter if I make more. She wants vacations to exotic places? She plans and ponies up half.

Unrealistic? Maybe, but I don't need to lower my standards or settle. Not anymore. Those days are over.

I can 'one up' this. I had a girl (who I was thinking of getting engaged to) tell me that she needed help with some of her problems. She thought that she drank too much which resulted in her having too many one night stands in the past. She had controlling parents that lived with her and gave her crap for her bad decisions. This is exactly what happened to me. Gf moved in with me, she said I had to get used to how she did things around the house, her behaviors in the morning aka being a complete bitch until she was ready to leave the house, etc. Like a complete idiot I said okay I'll do my best(I was stupid). Then I asked her what she would do to learn how I like things done or my usual routine, etc. She said we will "compromise." Turns out what she actually meant was it was her way or the highway. I asked for some pussy early one morning since I couldn't sleep and she said I was too sexually active for her. Lmao. We lasted about a month living together. It was a hard lesson to learn but never again.

Apparently when she moved in with her other exes she got used to being completely dominant and all of them just bowed down to whatever she wanted. When she got with me she found someone willing to hold his ground at least a little bit against her and that was all she could stand. Oh well. Good riddance.
