The one time a female friend actually went out of her way to do something for me, she quickly left and claimed she had to do something else. Turns out she was cheating on her husband with another guy, and I was the cover story. Can't even help a dude without an ulterior motive.

I've seen this most between females. After high school, all of my guy friends have remained friends. We still see each other now and then and end up laughing until our faces hurt.

All, and i mean ALL, of the female friends from the same group of friends in high school no longer associate with one another. I recently got a chance to talk to one of my female friends from high school (5 years since i last spoke with her) and i said that I had lost contact with all of the girls. She said the same and that all the girls hated each other now. When there are parties or gatherings they will avoid going if one of the other of them is going to be there.

I didn't ask what happened, because i honestly don't care, but this seems fairly common. Both of my sisters and my mother are no longer friends with their female friends from high school. The reason "drama". But! They are all friends with the guys from high school.

It's like... you think women would realize that THEY are the problem, but that would be admitting they aren't perfect princesses. Can't have that.

Yeah I thought about this recently. Has a female ever sacrificed herself for a males sake=? I mean like a couple of months ago in America some wonderful but foolish man covered a teenage girl from getting shot. Wonder if such an event has ever occured the other way around.

In the order of things I'd say Man Friend > Dog > Cat > Snakes > Women

The only thing a female friend might be useful for is fashion advice, and quite frankly, I'm not a metrosexual -- so any value they could provide there is not very valuable to me.

I know it may not be a popular thought here but I feel this is really subjective. I have female friends who absolutely throw me 20s when needed, have lent me their rides. I have had bros laugh their asses off(granted I would too).

I think this is really coming down to the quality of people you are associating with rather than just a gender thing.
