I don’t know anything about your folks, but never engage with anyone still on the plantation, especially when you are dependent on them. It invites unnecessary drama into your life.

At your age, you should be focusing on getting yourself up to have the best shot out of high school. However you need to phrase that self-improvement and make it happen ... do that.

Girls your age are not going to provide much of long term value. The environment is also a lot more dangerous than when I was a teen in the early 90s. Just be careful, and never trust a girl who says she is on the pill.

Maybe, you can talk to your dad about it separately when your mom isn’t present.

You could lie to them to get them of your back, if they offer you some opposing view points you could tell them that you haven't thought of that from that view point or something of the sort.

Keep your view points private until you are independent .

You need to vent your frustration and feelings on this subject. It’s unfair that your parents won’t give you the time of day to discuss matters of importance to you. Regardless of their leanings they should hear you out as a young adult and give their perspective while you give theirs. Focusing on finding common ground.

Sadly it is not advisable for you to talk to them. If they are going to punish you for thinking differently that is inappropriate. You should still obey them with your curfew, homework, chores, and all that stuff. Because if you don’t that doesn’t help your case for being independent and self controlled.

You should find other friends who you can confide in. Be careful though as sadly some will use this information against you. In which case it would be good to continue to comment on here and voice your opinions. You can’t let it sit in as being young you want to have a say and that is normal. When you get older though it is like the others are saying. It is wise to be aloof, camouflaged, and hold your cards close to your chest.

As a young man I can’t condone you PMing any of the guys here. You are still young and shouldn’t converse with strangers as a young adult. Keep it appropriate and stick with posts and comments. Stay safe.

Several on here have already said to keep your mouth shut. This is good advice.

However, you can also learn a lot by asking your parents questions and drawing them out. Being in the same house with them and being dependent upon them means that you only lose by expressing views that are counter to theirs. This is, at the same time, an opportunity. Don't talk about yourself, about your ideas, about what you're reading, and so on. But that doesn't mean you remain silent. They will pigeonhole you as a sullen teenager if you do. So ask them questions. Ask them to talk about their past. Ask them to explain their political views in detail. Ask them to describe their personal experiences that led to their political views. You only need to nod your head, listen carefully, and ask more questions. Engage them on their own ground. Learn everything you can from them. Whether your ultimate views are close to their views or antithetical to their views, you will benefit from having a deep understanding of what they think and why they think the way they do.

Firstly, just don't discuss it. Secondly, you could use this to your advantage; think of a skill or sport or something you want to pursue, ask them for help (lifts there and back, $ for the club or whatever), if they are reluctant, tell them you thought it would be a good way to meet people (subtext - meet girls), they'll think you've come around and will help you out. win. win.

I’m a teenager too and I understand how it is thinking your parents doesn’t understand you. I get that you feel like this is the only place that understands you but they don’t. Majority of all teenagers is virgins at age 15. You are not alone. I understand how it is. I feel like my parents is the same sometimes but they have been through teenage years too and understand this better than this group of brain washers. Feel free to talk to me.
