I have 3 dogs and a cat, love them all, but there's something about the cat cuddling with me that makes me feel better. The dogs make me happy too, just differently.

I got one cat, acts like a dog, greets me at door, attention whore, never once bite/hiss/scratched me, plays tug of war, I call it a cog. Plus where I live there are lizards and bugs that get in house, my cat takes care of them always, best pest control ever.
See I make fun of cat ladies, because they get several cats because they hit the wall and can't snag a beta guy more. They never play or train them, neglect them and then cats turn mgtowish, which is actually pretty fucking hilarious and only come to cat lady when she feeds them.
My cat comes to me when I hold out my hand and call her name always.

Cats GTOW. I can respect that. Also, they are truly impressive feats of mechanical engineering. The speed of their reaction time and accuracy puts humans to shame.

Ever fought with a genuinely pissed off 9 lb cat? They seriously punch above their weight and make formidable opponents even to humans that outsize and outweigh them by 15x. Imagine fighting a beast 15x your size and also much smarter than you and think how you’d fare.

Cats are wonderful. I don't have one, because I believe, a cat should have the freedom to roam - and I live in the city. When I lived in my smalltown home in my youth, our cat was only really home in winter. I still miss him :(

When I was a kid I wasn't allowed to have a cat, but I became friend with some stray cats, there was even a cat that comes when I call him (I just scream his name and he comes), after a while those cats disappear, I just tell myself they probably found a better place.

In middle school I got a fish, it died, I felt bad, then I decided to never have an animal or kids.

Last year my brother got a bird, I refused to get attached to it, never fed him nor cleaned his cage, my only interaction was saying "sorry bird" when I turn the light and he's asleep (I forget that he was there)...after a while the bird stopped singing and started losing feather, sometimes this happens naturally but in his case he caught cold, my brother didn't know, the bird died, I felt so sad about him.

To each his own. My experiences with cats showed me they act like women. Aloof, bitchy only offering affection on their terms.

Dogs have always been more about serving and supporting their master sharing affection generously.

Again these have been my experiences.

Cats are absolutely great. Sadly enough they're taking a hit for the team once women hit the wall. This must be torture for them.
