ive been to most of the conventions. dragonCon in atlanta being the most notable for really talented costumes. that being said, wannabes that show up in basic shit like this, people dont even bother. sigh and lament, "we get it, youre pretty" and move on. if you walk around with a 1Dmk3 or similar full frame camera, you realize people think youre a professional; you become keenly aware of how many cosplayers there arent even worth removing the lens cap. they are so attention-starved... its barely palpable. this one cosplayer had this wonderfully crafted leather bustier with copper inlays with a steam punk theme. i stopped her to take pics of it and not her. she got mad when i walked away after a few closeups of the leatherwork. "thats it? youre a jerk"... "did you make that costume yourself, i would love to know more about it"... "well no, but..." ... what a joke. they would walk around with two bandaids and a cork and call it art, so long as they were the center of that attention it garnered. actually, the google image search gallery for dragonCon shows just that. a girl decided to go around wearing tape. it was just sad, really. even then. especially then. i didnt remove my lens cap. mgtow for life.

Alright I'll be the voice of reason. Why is this a bad picture? The character she is cosplaying is very sexual, so I think she's doing a great job representing Croft.

If a woman was swimming because she loved swimming, is it okay for us to assume she wants attention in her bathing suit? No, she might genuinely like to swim and that's what you have to wear to swim.
