Cut off any body part and you can get by but you’re not operating at peak performance.
Example: Cut off your eyelids. Sure your eyes get dry at times but nothing eye drops won’t solve. I had my eyelids cut off at birth to look like dad and other boys and to prevent future problems like eyelid cancer. It’s also more hygienic to cut off your eyelids because bacteria can hide under that skin.

That is true; but comparing male circumcision to female circumcision doesnt make the male version any less wrong. It's less wrong to assault than to murder, but both are immoral, just to different degrees, but neither can be justified. This is analogous to circumcision of either gender. Why does it always get compared to female circumcision? Why cant we look at male circumcision alone for what it is - physically and bloodily deforming a baby's genitals for life, most often with no medical justification. No comparison to the totally different case of female mutilation in some Muslim and African cultures will make it any less okay. It's still abhorrent and unbelievably barbaric for 2019 America.

I was circumcised as a baby. I’m 46 and my family was not religious. It was just sort of a thing that was done at the time.
I’ve never felt that I was mutilated. I have never felt that my sexual pleasure has been diminished in any way. I mean.....could it be 12% better? I don’t know. Maybe. I guess so. But it’s always been plenty good enough for me.
I guess if it’s a big to you it’s a big deal to you but I’ve never given it a second thought.

Also while it's apparently fairly rare and subject rarely comes up i know a couple who have had to get it done late teens and having gone through it at that age they will adamantly swear everyone should save their kid possible hardship and not even question having it done. Def tipped me in that direction despite being somewhat on the fence. And no I don't takr very short term trauma into account when making lifetime decisions. Heck I wouldn't have my two beautiful children at all if I thought like that. Oh and don't kid you self I thinking you don't have to make a choice for your child one way or another. You can go left or go right.. choosing to do nothing is also making a choice on their behalf which has its own consequences and benefits. There are many choices you have to make for children that they are incapable of making themselves that can't really just be put off, some bigger than others. You can be sure the ones who had to do it ad an adult was apoligizing to their child. It's not an easy choice for some and there's a lot of info out there.
