Women are projecting what goes on in their own circle of friends onto male friendships, then thinking that she needs to put an end to his friendships as she thinks they pose a threat to her relationship, or at very least give her more control over him / his resources. She thinks the guys sit around like her girls bitching about their men and trying to convince/sabotage each other via telling each other to dump their men and do other such foolish self-destructive things. Maybe it's actually men should be worried about their woman's friend circles.

What goes on in female circles is more akin to "Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer." Women are constantly putting on appearances and underhandedly trying to backstab and sabotage each other. Why? Well chew on this; women would rather share the king than have a loser completely to themselves, but if possible, they want the king for themselves, so in the kings harem they try taking each other out non-violently with words/manipulations as this can't be done overtly. That evolutionary circuitry makes women fiercely compete with each other in a shrouded ways and probably why it seems women are the primary drivers of "keeping up with the Jones's" and general consumerism as they prod their man to death for resources to raise themselves up in an attempt to branch swing to higher and higher males. In the worst of cases, a woman even kills her children in this pursuit.

Now that he’s gotten himself a girlfriend, he never even bothers to talk to me more than maybe once every month, if that. And it really pisses me off because we were the definition of best friends. We’ve still to this day not had a single argument, but we rarely ever talk anyway.
