My ex wife's mother -- my former mother in law -- left her family at age 33, when my ex wife was 11 and her younger sister 9, to fuck a 20 year old. She was gone for more than 18 months, and moved in with the guy. She also stole a car.

During that time my former father in law (who is so passive a man that there isn't even a word to describe him) did nothing but beg the woman to return. When she did return, no questions were asked, and people weren't allowed to even speak of it.

Aside from her own congenitally flawed character, these events contributed greatly to what can only be called a personality disorder on my ex wife. She started to give me shit about five years ago. I knew much about her personal history and instead of engaging in lengthy marriage counseling, I immediately divorced her. To this day, she is shocked that I did that.

She has said many times that "because [I am] the man" I'm essentially required to put up with the woman's antics. This is how women think of themselves: unaccountable for anything. Everyone is required to put up with their childishness because they have a vagina. I don't know how they can sleep at night. They can't manage even to respect themselves -- and honestly, there isn't a reason to.

Whenever she registers the oblique complaint about me dumping her in an instant and never looking back, I say "you married someone quite different from your father."
