It is just not putting all your eggs in one basket. Smart strategy, actually. Men, on the other hand do often put all their eggs in that one basket for love and to try and achieve the goal of family life. I don't think that's really why, it's more that a successful husband is a status symbol for a woman whereas an attractive or personable woman is more of a status symbol for a man. Different priorities but we are all still animals looking out for ourselves.

Besides there are plenty of exceptions. I'm poor but high value in other ways and I have an easy time with women. My middle class girlfriend is looking forward to marriage. I'm skeptical of course, otherwise I wouldn't be here, but you cunts really need to get off your high horse sometimes.
