Have been using the same bank since I was a youngster. This bank has several branches in my city, but this time, I went to the main branch, which I hadn't been to for many years.

So I walk up to the counter, and low and behold, it's a teller I haven't seen since I was a teen (in my 50's now). She smiles, says "Hi (insert name)," and remarks how she hasn't seen me in a long, long time and pulls up my accounts on the computer.

After eyeballing my accounts, she slowly leans in closer to me and says, " you should really invest this money instead of having it in CD's, don't you think?"

The thing is, I have a couple really FAT cash CD's accounts she eyeballed. So, I replied, "well, actually I already have assets in the market working for me and other investments. To be honest, I know these cash accounts aren't quite keeping up with inflation, but you know what...I like being LIQUID...it helps me sleep like a baby, just knowing those no volitility, cash accounts are there relaxes me."

She just looked at me speechless, had nothing to say at all. I just bid her a nice day and walked away with a smile.

For you younger men out there, I can tell you with 100% certainty, having been unmarried for the last 29 years (was married before) has allowed me the financial freedom to live a life so much more stress-free and healthy that I can't believe it sometimes.
