If you have to date there are more than enough single women with no children to choose from. Keep it simple. No matter why the father is not around- baggage is baggage.

No matter what, a single mother is a burden. Let’s put it another way. Would you prioritize dating a single mother over a single female without children? No right. That’s absurd.

Have to understand that the end of the day, a single mother is a cost and a liability. Even in this case where you can show that she was attempting to be a good woman. She still costs more than a child free woman.

I have no problem helping a widow. It's the Christian thing to do. I wouldn't date or marry her anyway, indipendent from her status (but not because she is a widow, I just don't believe in marriege).

As for single moms with a divorced husband... They are on their own. They picked, lost and it was never my problem. No help from me. Zero sympathy.

with the way the court system is, I would not advice anyone to do this, else he will be held accountable by the court if the relationship does not work out, and is a sad state but woman and the justice system is out of hand.
