A television producer with a big enough budget could do this and film it as reality TV. Buy a small town, populate it with women, and watch the fun unfold. To select the population, you do a bunch of interviews, and from the interviews you select the most angry, bitter, "I don't need no man" types. Let them go on about their independence, so this material can be cut in later when they're complaining about being expected to work.

Something like this occurred in 19th century utopian communes, which were often populated with artists and writers, and not people who wanted to farm or do blacksmithing, etc. It usually didn't last long. Hawthorne wrote a novel about this, The Blithedale Romance.

They tried a similar version of this on a season of survivor. They failed miserably and the producers were forced to switch some of the men to the women's team

Can do this with basically any base job ad infinitum. They do nothing but nursing, being bad teachers, social work, catering, but basically zero base jobs sustaining society.

To be honest, playing a devils advocate here. You could take a bunch of silicon valley nerds or wallstreet money sharks or D.C. politicians and put them on a deserted island and watch them die out of starvation and cold and disease because they can't provide themselves with fire, food and safety. It could even be a random bunch of people like me or most of us, and we also would just fail to maintain something as complex as a power grid, sewer facility, hospital, etc.
True, that men would probably on a massive scale be much better able to clothe themselves, feed themselves and build shelter than women, but unless we've had a bunch of specialists and professionals, we also would revert to something much more primitive than we are now.
However, we are not the ones to actually advocate that we need to reduce population of women, keep women in camps, control women education from birth to wipe out their toxic tendencies... so there's that...

My own personal ideology can be described as Anarcho-Tribalism, so I am in favour of woemen keeping the cities and urban cesspits with the rest of the urbanites while I establish myself as far out into the land as possible. I have faith that a tribal society of craftsmen, bards, and warriors can persevere while those multicultural, progressive urban civilisations collapse into chaos and destruction. As other people have noted, its already been done twice and you can find the videos online.

On a Dutch version of the Survivor women and men were separated to set up their own survival communities. The women spent their time splashing in the ocean and sunbathing, within a short period of time were malnourished and didn't have shelter from the elements. They ended up doing an exchange where some men came over to their camp and set everything up for them.

On one of Gryll's shows they did the same thing. The women set up camp about 50 feet from where they were dropped off, proceeded to get lost when trying to look for another campsite, continued to let the fire go out, stored rotting meat in one of their water containers and ended up getting sick, continued to have issues with water filtration and dehydration, etc. The staff helped them throughout the entire couple of weeks, without their help a few of them would absolutely be pushing up daisies.

The question that no one has asked is why wouldn't you prepare, develop skills and knowledge if you knew your were going to be on a survival show? I'm an experienced backpacker/hiker, but I would still study like a madman to be prepared for whatever the producers throw at you.

Omg I love this idea! Now I have another dream to chase! So imagine doing a thing where they'll all locked in a city like their normal life. They have to say that they quit to actually quit the experiment. Any of their online orders will be sent to a place for pickup by they delivery girl. All the garbage has to be collected by the delivery woman, all the plumbing has to be done by by their women and so and so.

I think it will reflect similar results as to the company that had only female employees and the guys vs girls on survives.

Their is an episode on you tube where they send only women to one island and men to another, to survive for a week. Wimen go in circles for days trying find the preset camp site, bitching at each other, crying and absolute shit show. Men had a fire food and shelter within a day.
