Haha, this is amazing. I remember towards the tail end of my marriage I would choose the couch anyways. I was able to watch tv, play games, and finally sprawl out of fetal position.

I never would have thought to take apart the bed and move it somewhere else. Granted, I had moved out of state and hardly knew anyone other than her family. I made a few friends but no one that would let me crash on their couch or move a bed to their place.

This is nothing less than an attempt to "train him" into not doing things like forgetting the ice cream. That's why there was no acceptable solution to her but get it herself while punishing him with the couch. He was right to call her on her shit, take the bed and leave. I just hope he packed his other stuff too, because I have little doubt she is throwing it in the street, or breaking it, or lighting it on fire now. That is how this sort work. Best solution would have been to use the 3 hours to make an inventory list, and break up without getting stressed. She can keep her lease.
