In the past this wasn't the case in rural areas. There is an old widow that I know who was a farmers wife and is very well respected as a decent person. As a hobby she and many more like her study geneology and know the history and lineage of every family in the locality.

So if a woman or man wished to marry they would contact an elder who would give them an oral dossier of what they could expect in their marriage from the experiences and traits of their ancestors. The males knew that if they acted out of line they would be shamed for multiple generations. The females knew that if they slept around or divorced, no wealthy man would want them.

As the economy tanked from the 70's onward there was a huge rise in divorces and migration. women went to the cities to work in desk jobs, man stayed in the country or in construction. This caused the phenomenom of single mothers and ghettos. So all the social capital was lost.

We never miss anything until it is gone. We think that if we have a good income that is all that matters and that the lives of the poor have no value. Diogenes the philosopher lived in a barrel but he had more respect than many in his time.

Men's physical looks aside...

First, and foremost, Americans, when it comes to men, are obsessed with, have swallowed whole and pander to, our "hyper-SUCCESS" doctrine that permeates EVERYTHING.

Under 5'10"? Make under 50k? Not that good looking? Then you're just an under-achieving, unattractive chump...especially to females. It wasn't always THIS BAD, but, unfortunately, feminism, over the last 6 decades, has let women's hypergamy--in all it's relationship-destroying splender--flourish like a rapidly metastacizing cancer.

Fuck character, integrity, intelligence and honor...that's for putz's with NO DRIVE.

HOWEVER, if you're under 5'10", not that good looking and make a 100k and up, suddenly your INTERESTING, you're ADMIRABLE, your ATTRACTIVE (yes, attractive), because you're a WINNER! AND, Unfortunately, you can bet your ass...modern women's pussy wetness is directly correlated to the amount of money you make and/or the amount of FAME or POPULARITY you receive. You can be a complete, shallow, cut-throat jackass, but that 100k+ will garner guaranteed attention from today's women. God help you, however, if you lose your job, business or other source of that wealth she wanted to get her claws on. Once the money's not there, she'll coldly, quickly, drop you like a bad habit and walk away without so much as a yawn. The only people that MIGHT be there for you when/if disaster strikes are...you guessed it...close male friend(s) and maybe, family.

This is the reality we face. It's shallow, it's materialistic, it sucks and it's all bullshit.

Couple the above with men's desire to want to "belong" to the larger herd (exotically delusional as it is) and our physical/psychological drive/need to have sex/companionship with women (80/20 rule), and you've got a recipe for disaster.

Yes Brothers, we might just as well be better served to just step back, pass the popcorn and watch the shit-show that it is; watching blue-pill-to-the-gills men try and race each other to the top, fighting and climbing over each other so they can be accepted, to belong to the larger herd that's so delusional, it's almost comical if it wasn't so sad; watching them stab each other in the back in life and business to garner interest and desire from females so shallow, materialistic and devoid of character, that if not for our ever-present sex drives, we'd be repulsed and driven to avoid (most of) them.

Eons past, living in tribes, if you were short and unattractive, but consistently brought back a deer over your shoulder from the hunt, you can bet your campfire was happily attended by females more than willing to suck and fuck you to your heart's content to get some of that life-sustaining meat. And, if for some reason, you just couldn't bring home the deer, the women disappear.

As tough as that reality was, it's much, much worse now.

Unlike the past, when women approached men from a perspective of basic needs, now, they approach men from a perspective of MATERIALISTIC WANTS. Up until the 70's, if you had a decent job, weren't scary to look at and had a decent personality, women were much more approachable and interested. When you approached them, they were much more receptive and engaging, because they didn't have any other source of social contact, other than face to face interaction. If you took a woman out on a simple date, you were the shit, and they treated you with much more respect.

Now, with the internet, social media, and feminized BIG DADDY GOVERNMENT there to bring home the meat (in a pinch), it's game over. Again, unless you're in the top 20% of income and looks, you're just another, uninteresting DRONE.

But ask yourself this: Knowing the above, if you do achieve wealth and the popularity and attention of women that comes with it...do you even want these creatures in your life?

I say, given the harsh reality of above, beyond the occasional sexual encounter..."NO."

As a guy who's been fawned over and told I'm gorgeous; perfect etc my whole life by women, this is 100% true. FWIW, I'm 6'3. about 235, very muscular (been lifting for over 15 years) currently on a bulk cycle and very handsome. I've gotten jobs, laid (obviously), and a thousand breaks in-between because of my looks.

I've had women say in front of my face, in front of other co-workers, when showing up for job interviews, that "we have to hire him" when I first started looking for work in my teens. I have experienced this a few times, mostly around women in their mid to late 30's.

It was an odd thing to experience as a kid: my friends moms began acting differently around me. I'd say its cuz of Media and the way its pushing its narrative of an ideal guy (6-6-6 (6-6)), 6 feet tall, 6 figure salary, 6 inch dick (6 pack abs, 6 star quality possessions). I'm under 5'10 too and Asian (5'4), but I realized something. When I heard a woman say 6'5 or under is 'short' it didn't matter in the end. Height is literally dependent on one's own frame of reference. Who says you have to conform to their standards? no said you had to. Even if all the short men were to disappear one day, they'll find a new measurement that's 'short' and they can't say people 'short people should die' XD because as long as that perspective remains in their thick skulls, they won't go away.

TL;DR, two ppl's perspective on tall and short are different from each other and it doesn't mean we have to accept their views.

It's also a case of insecurity in themselves, which is why they think catching a man of that calibur will solve any of their insecurity. But here's the thing, insecurity is something we have to solve for ourselves. They fail to see that they need to stop caring about how others will react. (remember, peer pressure.) If an insecure person resort to physical expectations they'll eventually feel empty because, while they can pretend that all is well with their hot boyfriend/girlfriend they know that deep down, their lack of insecurity is DEPENDENT on being with that person.

TL;DR Insecurity is a major factor in having very meticulous preferences, which notes a lack of thinking, self-confidence and an inability to take responsibility and grow along with their admit their short comings. Ask yourself if they are not insecure, why should they care if you are not 6 feet tall, full of hair?

To answer your final paragraph, some of them are in the sense that they have a sheep mentality. They'll believe what the loudest person preaches. ex. Real men are X and whoevers a Y is not a real man. Also they have a fixed narrative on certain things, which makes people lazy and close-minded. When they see someone who doesn't fit their narrative, it fucks with their mind and they get angry. (regardless of whether its at the thing that makes them question it or the ones who taught them that narrative)

I'm just like you only in my thirties, (bald, 150 pounds, 5'7). Luckily I lost my hair around your age due to genetics and not cancer. Yes people will judge you by your looks, especially women. Even the fatties, average women and fuglies think they are superior because a tall guy or a guy with hair pumped and dumped her and now she thinks she can do better than you. My only piece of advice is to not give a fuck about what people think about you. As corny as it sounds, guess who should love you the most? You should.

You also shouldn't tie too much of your self-esteem based on your looks either, they will fade for all of us. Trust me, women have it a lot worse than we do. Most can't be alone and they are completely dependent on men. When no one finds them attractive anymore, they completely lose it. As a guy who doesn't garner attention and becomes comfortable with himself, he never has this problem, even when he hits 60 years old. So really not being good looking is not a curse, it's a gift. I've managed to not get married and I don't have to mail a women a check each month because I nutted inside her 10 years ago.

The answer is that the relationship world is stupid. More accurately, the theory is that we all evolved to be attracted to certain (typically physical) features.

When I dated, in some ways I was very picky, but in other ways I wasn't. I will admit to you though, that I don't think I ever ignored physical attraction to the woman. I don't think that most guys do.

I remember seeing one woman with one of the worst personalities I've ever noticed. Just rotten. Yet she had a guy orbiting around her, practically begging for a date. You see, she was considered physically very good-looking. Even other people who weren't trying to date her seemed extra nice to her, and seemed to totally overlook her nastiness.

What to do? Number one, the first step is recognizing it for what it is: It's BS. I believe that, if we are supposed to learn lessons from the world, one of those lessons is not to judge a book by its cover.

Secondly, recognize that what a person looks like, and dating, don't have to be the bulk of what this world is about. Instead, think of skills, career, friends, relatives, fun, reading, and I think you'll realize that it's not worth it to be stuck on being unhappy about the unfair relationship world. To put the icing on the cake, we REGULARLY get guys posting on this group who have gone their own way, even though they CAN easily attract women. Think about that.

I don't really attract women, and the big breakthrough in knowledge for me was when I could admit to myself how unfair the relationship world is. So why was I unhappy about not being successful at it? Instead, I focus on activities in which there is a reasonable connection between effort and success at the activity.
