I went through divorce and got 50/50. Every time I was on time and on schedule to pick up kid. She called the cops every time and refused to let me have visitation. Cops couldn't do anything. Said it was a civil matter and we would have to go to court. Went twice and each time she got a slap on the wrist. Went broke fighting and went to jail for not being able to pay child support. Lost my job because of jail. So I said fuck it. Stopped paying child support and ghosted to another state and lived under the radar for a few years. Last I heard she tried to contact my mom a few years ago for my address and my mom told her to kick rocks. Been living a great life ever since. Tired of these bitches. Sucks for the kid but even if I was in the picture she would brainwash him into thinking I'm a piece of shit. So fuck it. The kid is a bastard by her decisions. Moving on. Some call me a deadbeat. Others call me brave.

I can only change what I can control. And my life is the only thing I have control over. And I refuse to be a slave.

50/50 for me meant sending the kids to Mom's clean with new clothes, shoes & jackets for school.

They come back in clothes from the thrift store, no socks, dirty and zero school work done.

"My" time involves providing double everything, constantly requesting things be returned, and playing catch up with school.

For this, I get to pay "child support".

50/50 Custody is the default in Missouri now. Judge has to start with that assumption and provide proof that it won't work if they want to change the split. Divorce attorneys lobbied against the law, but they lost. It's harder to sell a pay day to women when there are less cash and prizes in the form of child support.

My ex psychically assaulted a family court judge, was witnessed being violent and abusive by the cops. Was caught laying false accusations against me by Council for child.

And after 5 years of court hell still won full custody after i got laid off and my money ran out.
