I had a girlfriend for over five years, she never ONCE voluntarily said sorry. I had to ask her to apologize when she did things wrong and after four years she would sometimes say sorry, mostly with prompting, and either as quietly as possible (once), while not looking at me or with no sincerity or in shittiest teenager-with-a-bad-attitude tone and if I was still mad with the stupid thing she had done the second after saying sorry she would say 'I said sorry, why are you still angry with me!?!' and then she would get angry with ME! Arrrggghhh. Such a horrible attitude, so full of her own ego that there was no space for anyone else.

Problem is, I still care for her...even love her but she can't show it, doesn't know how to care for another and is still too caught up in herself for anyone else. It's kind of heartbreaking.

After the ex cheated we went through marriage counseling. It was through our church, and part of it was a Christian book on surviving an affair.

The girlfriend before my last one, I broke up with her, so she invented a story about how I supposedly hit her - for the previous three years she had been singing my praises daily on social media because I was such a wonderful boyfriend. Then overnight, the story changed to I had been assaulting her for weeks or months or whatever.

My most recent ex probably rationalizes me leaving her as her-kicking-me-out because I finally started asking her to give back to the relationship and she wasn't interested in that, she just wanted a servant. She probably rationalizes it as I "became abusive" (started holding her accountable), when the reality is that it finally sank in for me that I was never going to get the kind of effort from her that I was putting in, and my core needs weren't being met, and she was stressing me the fuck out, so I had to leave.

Women re-invent the story, they rewrite it to make themselves the perfect princess who was simply wronged by a mean ol' poopyhead man.

Which only does a disservice to those women who actually ARE survivors of actual (not imagined) abuse.

Because of my last two exes, now I am EXTREMELY fucking skeptical whenever I hear a woman say she was abused.

Abuse rates in relationships are quite high, and plenty of men are shitheads who would do things like that, but every time a woman claims to have had abuse in her past I look at her very carefully now instead of just taking it as fact.

Because I was accused of that shit and I never laid a finger on anyone that they didn't ask me to.

I have seen a few cases on our local newspaper, where cheaters, guys or ladies, came out to confess that they regretted cheating, so yeah this could happen if their identify could be hidden and there was no conflicts involved.

However, the funny part is, all ladies were lamenting on how they missed their opportunity to get a beta bux, never minded how much they hurt the guys they cheated on. They seemed not bothered.

And some PETA terrorists groups are fighting against abuse for animals, when we are abusing our own species.

Still don't understand why some people refer to women as "females." The word seems more appropriately used as a modifier than the object/noun itself (e.g. a female cop). If you're a man, call a person of the opposite sex a woman.
