I learned this the hard way from EXPERIENCE. I used to believe that most Women are good people, and that they can be trusted. A lifetime of witnessing extremely selfish and bad behavior by Women has taught me otherwise. That's why it's called the Red Pill... once you see it you cannot unsee it.
I still think that there are good women out there, but many Women that I loved and trusted have turned out to be cold, calculating, terrible people.

I’m really sorry that is the experience you’ve had. I hope you find a woman that can change your view.
In my experience most people are good, but some women recognize their beauty and influence over men and use it to their advantage. These are often the same women who were are taken advantage of by men because of their beauty. I know plenty of women that fit the description in this subreddit, but I also know plenty of men that are exactly the same.
My point being is that I don’t believe anyone is inherently evil, it’s learned behavior. By treating a woman poorly they will in turn treat the next man poorly. Then we are stuck in a never ending cycle. There’s more good out there than evil.
Last thing: if you win over a woman only with money, good looks, and/or other superficial things, you might lose her to the next man with more of those things. True connections last.

Maybe you’re chasing the wrong kind of woman. Not every woman likes the same things. Superficial women want superficial things. I am often considered a nice guy and I have not had that experience.
For the happiness part, I think it’s easier to keep someone happy if you both enjoy similar things. So if hiking makes you happy being with someone else that loves hiking makes it easier for you both to be happy.
I know I don’t have answers for you, but hopefully something I’ve mentioned may help.
