Honestly its not even that she will use it as a weapon in the future. Its that she will perceive you as weak/beta and will lose attraction to you.

If you tell your girlfriend that you are struggling with depression, she isn't going to bring that up 3 months in the future. She will have already dumped you by then.

I briefly pursued a girl earlier this year and she told me "your feelings are valid too". Ha! What absolute garbage! She talked to me in the most passive aggressive way I'd yet to experience. Mocking me on a consistent basis, all under the cover of "you know that's just my personality; I'm mean to people I like". This wasn't the case. When she was around her friends, the passive aggressiveness was turned up to 11.

I never once mocked or insulted her and I couldn't imagine myself doing so, because I regretfully developed feelings for her. She called me boyfriend material on two separate occasions (this was said while she had a boyfriend), and the first time I had her over she laid on my lap. Why the fuck would I not develop feelings? Not to mention she was in perfect honesty a 9 or 10.

An unfortunate experience I've learned a lot from.

Don't tell her your problems, feelings, or weaknesses. It's your job to listen to her complain about all her endless problems and complaints. She has NO interest in listening to your feelz unless those feelz are about HER. Period. If you talk about a problem, you better talk about what you're going to do to solve that problem. Fair? No. Too bad. And good luck to you if you lose your job or develop health problems. If you are a drain on her in any way opposed to a source of support/help you will eventually be gone. I find It easier for me to deal with my problems head on and alone anyway. That way I am not dependent on anyone. Dependency is not a good thing to have. It’s not bad to have people who help support you but don’t have people carry you because at some point they all get tired and drop you.
