I read an article the other day about making iron. It's only covered mining so far. There are layers upon layers upon layers of technology that are completely taken for granted by most of society but every single one is the product of men's strength, courage, ingenuity and creativity. They get cars given to them by the system when they are still children. Cars made of steel, aluminium and plastic, that are capable of crossing thousands of miles on hard, smooth, dry, flat roads. Take any tiny component of that, the ball bearing in the wheel, the aggregate in the road surface, the retroreflectors in the signs, the transistors in the ECU, it was all made by men. Countless men who, despite their women not understanding their achievements, loved them unconditionally nonetheless. And men who simply no longer exist, no longer matter in the eyes of today's women.
It's a cold world.
Now excuse me while I lift heavy pieces of iron up and down with my huge muscles. I love being a man.

yup; and the crazy part is how old most of this technology is. how it was developed over hundreds of years!
i've found iron ore on my land / property. next year if i have the time, i'm going to build a forge and smelting furnace and start black smithing using just the dirt around me!
it's very well possible for this technology to be taken granted for and forgotten about. in cuckada, clay bricks are ridiculously tough to get a hold of outside of the large cities. another soon to be forgotten but important tech.

And schools are the systematic recording and passing forward of those knowledge. We men acquired those knowledge through hard work in the wild, in factories, in labs. And yet women are shameless enough to demand we share those knowledge to them and called our ancestors, oppressors. The Most ironic part of it is. We actually shared.
[β]422522525 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Hopefully. It's kinda freaky how many things have been lost to time, I have a nagging fear that we have left older, outmoded methods and skills that are gone forever unless reinvented, because we've gotten so many tools and trinkets to replace them.
We like to think we're super smart in the modern world, but even figuring out blackpowder or cordite for the average dude is pretty involved. If we lost it all today, I really wonder what standard of living we could make.
I hope there are some knowledge repositories at least to get us back into steam engines, even that metallurgy is pretty involved. Hopefully all this stays theoretical....

That's what pisses me off the most, where the hell were this "strong independent women" when the allies needed to invade the Normandy? Where were they when men were dying of disease in the trenches? Where were they while the barbarians were taking over Europe? I don't hate women, but they are not entitled to having the same power as men.

Some, to be fair, did volunteer, openly in the Red Army or covertly in the West. Others served in the Womenβs Auxiliary forces or as nurses, which was the most they could manage in the face of prohibitions on front-line service. Those, IMO, are a higher tier of woman.

Not to mention the factory workers building shit for the war
[β]Allanlemos16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, because working at a factory thousands of miles away from the frontlines is just as dangerous as being shot by nazi artillery or being blinded by german mustard gas in a mudded trench.
[β]humanitywasamistake313 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My great grandmother worked in one of those factories and one day when she was out on her lunch break the whole factory was levelled by a German bomber. Definitely not as dangerous as being on the front lines but still not something to be dissmissed

They were playing Rosie the Riviter. Being hailed as heroes for doing a job just as good as a man did before the war. Safe from harm and getting a man's wage to spend on whatever the fuck they wanted while trying to steal just as much glory from the men fighting and dying for their freedoms. So brave.

There were never oppressed. Without doing things you get nothing in return. That was justice. You wanted education? Built knowledge yourselves first. They wants education without acquiring knowledge. It is not in the past they were oppressed, it is now they have privilege.

[β]MGTOWalltheway4098 points9 points10 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
How come they were slaves? They enjoyed the comfort of being at home.
The real slaves are the ones outside the home doing dirty jobs, and those were all men.
How feminists call the stay at home dad? Deadbeat Father...You see the double standards here. When women stay at home, they are oppressed, when men stay at home, they are useless trash.
[β]comkioxd-2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Even though I see what you're saying, if they really did enjoy being at home housewives then they wouldn't protest

Those housewives never protested until very recently after the industrial revolution which make the world a resource scarced place to a materialistic world.
It is the feminist that who made up history. They projected the living standard of todays world to that of the past.

[β]BlackPillPusher[S] 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
And you would be completely wrong to make that assertion as capable women throughout history have filled any role from military officers to the leaders of empires, it's just that most of them are far less capable and far less ambitious than women like Jeanne D'ark or Chenne I Sao, men are encouraged to be disposable tools and yet we built everything you see around you, maybe external validation isn't needed for civilization to exist.
[β]Foolbish0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
let me ask you something:
was it possible for a woman to become a scientist in, say, 1753?
was it possible for a woman to become a sturgeon in, say, 1835?
was it possible for a woman to become an engineer in, say, 1870?
you're right, there was always exceptions to the rule but they were just that, exceptions
the reality is that men are the gender who built the world simply because they kept women out of it most of the time
[β]MathUIssac0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, Anyone could be a scientist back then. There were no "science degree" program or training for becoming a scientist. Michael Faraday for example, has no formal education or training, He became one.
Umm no human can become sturgeon, but Surgeon..Definitely Yes. Has the surgeons Susrutha, Al_Zahrawi attended medical school? No.
Also yes, anybody can become an engineer. If they have passion for it (Not Degree). Leonardo Da Vinci didn't have a engineering degree to become one.
What? See, It is by men, all the system of Governance, Law, trading, money, infrastructures, the whole education system with schools and colleges were made. Women were excluded from that because they were home caretakers and are not needed anywhere in any industry (until the shortage of men from wars).

but yes... from the very beginnings of humanity, both genders have had very distinct roles, until women were slowly but surely confined to domestic tasks while men took control of the world (at least until modern times)
so yeah, like I said, men built the world because they kept women out of it most of the time (until, again, modern times)

So, you just answer your own questiob. Women were not allowed, by nature, to be scientists, archititects. But men allow this because men built a civilization that can fight nature.
Men are the saviours of women, not the oppressors. They were not capable, without the civilization men built.
Do men install a uterus on you? no, you evolve yourself to be like that, dont blame men for those thing,. If anything men only help women to live easier but not the other way around.
[β]genostakinganL1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[+]better_new_me-27 points-26 points-25 points 5 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
Nay. For majority of the history both genders were cooperating for simple survival. Life was short, rough and painful. Both genders were fucked equally, suffered from illnesses, poverty, wars, and regularly faced femine.
There was no chick flicks, 1st world problems etc. The whole shit we have now is because of the abundance of resources, and stupid ideologies. Mostly the cooperation collapsed because there's no need for it anymore. So women now became dominant gender because they don't need men, when men still need woman (because we're hardwired for it). Shitty situation. But it will inevitably lead to men reaction and adjustments. System will rectify itself.
[β]PrestigiousCarpet823 points24 points25 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I disagree, women didn't cooperate so much as face the threat of constant death without a man. Women are vulnerable, particularly when pregnant and raising children. They don't have defenses like tigers or even deer and pregnancy takes them out for a solid 6 months followed by nursing, etc. Without men, women and their offspring were guaranteed to perish. They cooperated because they had to. Even women can do that basic math. Good chance that many of those offspring belonged to another man though. Very little has changed in 100,000 years. The only new development is that men are increasingly say "fuck this, let it burn."
[β]better_new_me3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Majority of women worked normally during pregnancy. It "disables" modern woman, which is bullshit. Households were multi generational, and tasks within household varied. Smaller children were carried for by elders, infants were carried with mother usually where she goes, ie to the field. Everybody knew that mother is certain, father is "as they say". Children were a necessity for both genders, there was no retirement plan. And the mortality rate, like 60-70% of children died before 5y Not mentioning enormous mortality rate during labour. So yes, man and women cooperated because they had to, to get life possible and endurable. They were facing a threat of constant death all the time. That changes the perspective a lot. And remember that nobody cared for any "rights" and if she had some stupid ideas, like shaming the family, betraying husband, or by accident was infertile (which btw was always associated with woman), certain bad things could happen to open the vacancy. Pure physical threat of beating the shit out of them also kept them in line. Nothing works better than strong connection with the reality.
[β]tyschooldropout5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Human rights was a step in the wrong direction, I've come to believe.
Nothing natural or unalienable in them
[β]PrestigiousCarpet81 point2 points3 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
"Majority of women worked normally during pregnancy. "
For part of it, yes, but not all of it. They are certainly more vulnerable (slower, hungrier, more easily fatigued, cognitive changes, etc.) and much of that continues when you have an infant strapped to you. Men were needed to compensate for the vulnerability. That's been eliminated in the modern world, ironically by men, freeing women to indulge in their baser motives.
Men solved most of women's problems, but rather than be grateful they've become demanding whores. Men have seen the futility in working for women and are increasingly working just for themselves. We've realized that the promised women made in the past were motivated by fear and necessity, not love and concern. We are adjusting accordingly and in a manner that suits are dominance and careful planning. Men will come out ahead, it just takes time to do it right just like it takes time to build a society.
[β]better_new_me-4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Please. Can you look on the species? Last 70 years is not really representative. And there are women capable of technicalities. Yes you needed a women 150 years ago (and more). Obviously there were different choices for men, joining army, or other stuff. However if you wanted to live a settled life, having a household was a good idea. And again, you needed a women for kids, read: your only hope for any support when you're old.
The fact that both genders don't need each other now is simply due to transferring many benefits that could be taken from having a household and family to state run or commercial social systems: healthcare, insurance, retirement. It worked both ways. Thus relationships have no sense now, and don't work as they should.
[β]BenchoteMankoManko6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So women now became dominant gender
you mean entitled, they aren't dominant when everything is handed to them
[β]better_new_me1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
