I get it.

I am a recent MGTOW but a classic nice guy. I have always been as polically correct as a conservative Christian can be.

That said, I can see various reasons why some may be repulsed by this subreddit and the idea as a whole.

/r/MGTOW confronts views many hold dear. Most people, I'd say, find meaning in their life from their relationships. MGTOW confronts these people's purpose in life and that offends them.
/r/MGTOW acknowledges the moral and social inadequaties of women. People don't like being told that they are wrong or immoral. MGTOW says all women are immoral.
/r/MGTOW sometimes is actually offensive. That is, harsh language and the desire of many to actively offend women and cucks adds to the first two. MGTOW is offinsive in and of itself and many doing this only adds to it.

Honestly, #3 is something that I find repulsive here. I don't swear and I don't actively offend. I much prefer when this sub actively encourages men who enjoy the single life over being offensive.

Then what should we do?

Honestly, the same thing I tell Christians. Speak the truth but speak it in love.

They view this sub as a misogynistic fueled hate club. Really though this sub is so much more.

Don't get me wrong, I know how it can come off as that. There are plenty of guys here (including myself) that have been burned and burned bad. To know you're not alone though is somewhat comforting/relieving. Usually called "redpilled raging"

What I do hope is that vistors actually take the time to look at the sidebar and all the available information MGTOW offers that's not just about women. Not every post is "women are scum!" I personally don't hate women. It hurt me at first, then it pissed me off, then I'd laugh about it, then I just became ok with it. Doesn't really bother me all that much anymore.

I'm just focusing on me and my son, the few close friends that I still do have and some family members. It's been 5 months since my ex broke things off and 3 months being completely woman free. Meaning no FWBs or pump and dumps. I've been making good strides, but it's still a process. I still have my "days" where everything seems to go wrong and I get down, but I know tomorrow is always a new day to get better and improve.

Bad days come and go, but MGTOW is forever.

Well for starters, many of us are conservative and reddit hates that. We're also challenging the social norm, and everyone is critical of that. We're also in the minority, living in a world where feminism is mainstream. As someone above said, we don't hold back and can be very vulgar. Guys here don't shy away from shaming and name calling, which I don't really agree with.

That's just my opinion though. There's probably lots of reasons. Human beings are complicated folks

Most people are driven by their animal instincts: you must breed, the human race must be continued, you must provide for your offspring.

What I figured out is that most other subs are about supporting each other. Did you leave your bf/gf for a better alternative? They tell you why you did the right choice. Did you have an affair and kick out your husband? They will tell you how your husband neglected you and you deserved a break. As in real life, these (mostly female) mods won't allow calling BS and instantly ban you. After all, the sub is about "support".

A small percentage of guys here hate women and spew anti-women rhetoric here. This sub is about empowering men to be happy living a solo life and is not about disparaging women. However, some guys don't understand that and then this sub gets a bad name when visitors see that type of post or comments.

It goes as far as being "active" on this and another sub causes random banning from some Reddit subs. Regardless of the content of one's very few posts on the subs.

Been banned twice due do this and one other sub. Never due to an actual post on here or the sub banned from.

The various threads that make up MOW lead me into many other subreddits but I make it my general policy not to mention MGTOW there.

I do confess that I tend to wince a bit when I am told "my wife wouldn't let me..." or some poor simp I remember saying that he can't afford something until he has paid off the wedding debt, now four years later, but then refers to his wife's spending habits as 'not helping'.
