I recently read this post on the minimalism subreddit. Someone was saying that it was awkward having a minimalist apartment because freaked out girls if he brought them home.

That's not a problem for me as I haven't brought any girls home and I don't intend to.

I have few possessions. I have a laptop, a guitar, a pull-up bar, some cooking utensils, not much else. I'm thinking of getting a surfboard.

I sleep on a yoga mat on the floor.

During waking hours I sit on the floor by a low table where I put my laptop.

I have a wardrobe for my clothes. The rest of my stuff goes in a few cardboard storage boxes on the floor.

My walls are painted white and left bare.

I have translucent blinds and I like the way the sunlight filters through them during the day. During the night a paper floor lantern casts a soft diffuse light.

It feels very peaceful here.

Anyone else live like this?
