I do get scared sometimes thinking about it that life as MGTOW is too good to be true and that I might be missing something .....do you all get the same feeling as well ?

Not the first part but the second ("that I might be missing something"), although not "scared," just concerned. Not in the sense of FOMO, but a more general concern about missing some part of the puzzle that is life: Is there something I overlooked? Something that, if I just keep doing what I'm doing, could go badly astray?

That's not specific to MGTOW. I've always had that tendency -- to wonder if maybe there is something I've overlooked or that could be missing from my plans or outlook. I think that's a good thing, as long as it doesn't shade over into chronic self-doubt and uncertainty. I think it helps keep me on my toes and prevents me from getting sideswiped by an unanticipated danger. It also keeps me learning and growing. That's important, because, let's face it, we don't know what we don't know. There are always things we are overlooking or missing, simply because we don't know enough to be aware of them as issues in the first place.

Hope that makes sense. I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to, but that's what came to mind for me.

What you are describing is withdrawal. Everybody tells you the pussy drug is wonderful. So you go get some and it is. Then you find yourself spending all your money on it. Then it kicks you to the curb leaving you financially and emotionally broken. This happens over and over. Then you find MGTOW. The Alcoholics Anonymous for pussy addiction. You get well. A few years go buy and you start feeling like you do. You are about ready to have a pussy relapse and all the misery you know it will bring. Time to head back to MGTOW for a recharge!

I never wanted kids. But I always wanted a wife or the non legal equivalent. Until trauma brought me to the trp. Now I know everything I ever fantasized about doesn’t really exist. Life’s kind of empty without it. Money and stuff is kinda pointless

We are missing self love and self appreciation! Since we were small we have always been thought to make others happy, respect others but what about self respect and self love! We need to show it more to ourselves daily!

What we're missing is that epic romance we see in the movies. We watch our compatriots attempt to live those fantasies out, shell out over $10,000 for the wedding where they dress up and play make-believe that they have something special.

Everyone in attendance plays along too, but they all know the bride and groom have a 50/50 shot of even staying married, let alone living that fantasy we all dream about. A lot of us MGTOW that have been married already know it's all bullshit.

I believe biology and evolution have engrained in us men this irrational fantasy that causes us to procreate, and stick around to take care of our offspring. Why else would we all have this same fantasy? There are countless examples of this mindset getting men into bad situations, and we all should know better, but deep down we all feel we are special. But it's just a biological trick. If we want the happiest life possible, we need to understand it, and rise above.

I actively run away from drama in the way a lot of people are attracted to women. I value peace more than I value the opposite sex. So this has become normal for me and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything because I’ve had plenty of experience with opposite sex drama. And if I keep actively avoiding it then I don’t have to pass if we sit there and think that this all could come crumbling down. It’s an effort for me and something I work out every day, and that feeling gives me a sense of agency. I feel like I’m earning this peace I have.

I don't get the feeling that I'm missing something, but that the awesomeness of my life will come to an end somehow. When I was broke and struggling, every time things would start to look good something bad would happen, e.g. my transmission would go out, an unexpected bill would come in the mail, my car got stolen, etc. That instilled some paranoia in me that something bad was right around the corner, so I worked and invested like mad in order to always be prepared. I've safeguarded myself against everything I could think of, and life is on cruise control now, but I still sometimes feel a little bit of fear that something unexpected will occur.

I use that fear to appreciate what I have though. I let it sink in for a while, then I stop and look at my safeguards and what I've accomplished, and I start to get this feeling of comfort. It's really nice.

Any course of action you choose in life carries risk. If you do X, you logically cannot do Y.

Personally, I think MGTOW is the most low-risk way to live life. But you do you.

For me, the key was to learn to not give a fuck about other people's opinions.

Almost everybody will try to make you a side character in their story. So you have to learn to identify when you should just walk away, regardless of how bad the other person will have an opinion of you.

Once you defeat this boss, the rest of the game is on easy mode.
