In ancient times if a woman cheated on her husband she was stoned to death, boiled in oil etc. Today she is given the husbands house, assets, children, goes on the talk shows and becomes a celebrity...you go girl! These laws are not going to change until they start effecting career women. The good news it only has to affect about 10% of them and some politician will change the legislation for votes.

A guy who had a partner for many years did what you suggested in Canada. They weren't living together when they were in relationship. After breakup. The lady took him to court. She won and the guy have to pay about 50k a month for ten years.

How do you like that?

There are no short-cut, technicalities. If you live with a woman for more than a few days, even extended dating, at breakup she can, not saying she will, take you to court.

She might seem good now, but as a divorced guy let me tell you that you don't know who you're divorcing, or to extend the idea dating and cohabitating with. That's when they often go for the juggler.

Let me paint a picture. When you decide to leave, it she finds a better guy, she decides that you are now bad. Her friends and family are going to give her advice. Her co-workers and groups belong will give her advice. She will research the Internet. Some of that advice will be how to really burn you down. And most women who take the initiative, do it months and even more than a year to prepare for that end day. She might lawyer up, and at very least put you in a bad position. You will become the enemy you didn't know that you would become.

And the tack on the idea women prepare, they also find a new guy while she is with you. We would call this cheating. She sees it as survival. So the last year she is with you, she is grooming another guy who she is rewarding sexually.

So if you want to risk all of that, to see if you can get around the family courts, think again. There is a possibility that she doesn't do anything drastic to mess up your life, but if you take vows, you're setting yourself up for being designated the husband, even outside the government incorporation of your person to this woman.

No. Marriage has always been a strange idea for me. I never enjoyed that whole responsibility. The difference is that BEFORE I blamed myself for this and, NOW, after knowing mgtow, I see that I am on the right path.

For me it's more than the government issues, i've never had a deep connection with a woman before it has all been surface level stuff. They talk and think in a way that isn't compatible with me and place too much value on attractiveness while not valuing loyalty at all, or the effort you invest, or your interests.

To attract them it's simple - ignore and be attractive, they will approach you in some giddy schoolgirl fashion. In my opinion it's too simple, they lack depth and if it's that easy why would there be any value in it? Because it is that easy. I'm off to the woods away from this shit hole of a civilization, wish I was born back when we hadn't conquered the entire fucking planet and there was a challenge to life.

Marriage is the legal government contractual stuff.

Some people I know do hand fastenings, where the relationship lasts a year and a day and terminates unless they do it again. Which seems much smarter to me.

Also it’s an excuse to have a big party.

I think you are ignoring the common-law marriage laws. Many countries make you default husband-wife if you cohabit for a certain period.

Even in regions where common law doesn't apply, many other laws pertaining to marriage still apply--- like DV, child support, marital rape laws, etc.

I would and to be honest, unless I end up single my entire life, this is what I will end up doing. MGTOW to me has always been about making my own rules while following my own path and I honestly don't mind getting married. The thing though is that I need the person whoever that is to understand that I have no plans to marry before 40. I expect to really love her and have my shit together by then that way even if it ends in divorce soon after(a sham), I will understand it and make my peace with it while keeping in mind that I ALWAYS have control.
