Can you elaborate on what "going TRP" actually entails? I'm not familiar with that term? Is that the same as becoming a "pickup artists" or something?

The red pill is a necessary tool to get over blue pill conditioning before going mgtow. You can't go mgtow being a blue pilled simp. You have to understand the biological wiring of females and observe it in action and get that "ahha" moment.

The red pill could be called "evolutionary psychology.". ... There is no particular difference between them, the way I see it.

TRP, in a way, could be considered a way to practice MGTOW, when done correctly... a way of practicing MGTOW with one of your goals/games/w.e being to fuck as many beautiful women as possible.

There's no fundamental conflict between the two from a philosophy standpoint. They are both based on more or less the same assumptions about how sex and sex-based relationships work in modern societies. TRP essentially espouses everything MGTOW does, with an added layer of "Once you are done working on yourself, here's how easily you can fuck any random chick of the street". In practice, that often leads to people skipping the harder parts of "working on yourself" and becoming a desperate beta trying to fuck at least one random chick, but in theory there's no conflict.

This is too ideological to be honest. The majority of actual MGTOWs are men who have been butt-raped by the court system, and tell them "no more". Actual young guys who seek to get laid by googling then accidentally found the manosphere, like myself, are in the minority.

MGTOW seems more broad, where TRP seems more about having self discipline has more focus on your health and finances along with having proper mental health, which in turn, in theory leads to not obsess about the pussy so much and seeing and treating women for what they are: nothing special.

Reading some comments here and it seems like people's understanding of MGTOW is different. That is okay. The true difference between TRP and MGTOW is that the TRPer is bound to end up in a long term commitment while the MGTOW will not end up in a long term commitment. While a MGTOW does not openly seek sex like a TRPer, he might have sex once in a while but it is up to him because he has his life and desires in check.

If by TRP you mean "pickup artist" I think it's because MGTOW realize there's just no value in it. Sex with women who don't care about you isn't fun. It's really just a lot of work.

Who wants to spend all that effort to impress someone, then have sex (if you're really lucky) spend hours making sure she enjoys it, all the while being paranoid she might use it as a weapon against you one day? Pickup artists might, but only because they believe there is some value in all of this.

MGTOW Knows it's pointless and will lead to the same loneliness and abandonment that not having sex leads to. As a result, we derive our sense of validation and existence from other things.

Both have basically lost hope in the natural order of things.

Redpillers basically decide to game women or manipulate them. In a way, this means they no longer take women seriously. Or women have lost their respect. They see women as pawns.

MGTOW rather just steps back and takes a more passive stance, and finds other interests, rather than playing that game.

Rollo seems to think that spinning plates is essential to building the confidence needed to avoid becoming a simp in a long-term relationship. He could be right. I find the idea of spinning plates to be quite unpleasant, however, mainly because I have to commit lies of omission with the women I'd be seeing (i.e. don't tell them I'm also seeing others). I prefer to just see multiple sex workers -- they expect that I'm seeing other sex workers. That probably doesn't build up confidence the way spinning plates would, but it's good enough for me.

I've been TRP and I've been MGTOW at different points in my life. It's not that they're better at compartmentalizing at all. It's that they need women. TRP reeks of silent desperation.

I grew up with a drug addicts single mother and the way these guys talk and act is really symptomatic of reliance/addiction. Going out every night, approaching literally anyone you can, having no standards, grovelling to some used-up whore who was kind enough to grace you with her very presence, spending whatever money you can to get sex and validation that you're a big strong sexy man. Honestly, these guys chase their next lay like my mother chased her next hit.

TRP is like finding out there's a back entrance to the liquor store. They take that key, sneak in and they drink as much as they can. Sure TRP may know the secrets on how to game the system and get their free booze, but at what cost? They're still alcoholics, they just have access to more booze. Now in comparison, MGTOW is like Alcoholics Anonymous. We want to live without that addiction instead of simply enabling it.

From what I've seen, TRP is mostly made up of lunkheads repeating the same shit, thinking that they've got some secret code."Frame bro" "lift more". Well frame doesn't cure you of STDs. Lifting doesn't protect you from rape allegations. They're like gladiators, waiting to see if the emperor gives them a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Why give away all this power over yourself to some immature, entitled brat? Why subject yourself to her whims?
