This is code for "no man of lesser socioeconomic status or looks that I'm used to should approach me".

It is logically impossible to tell whether or not a person is open to being approached without actually approaching that person, especially since the decision is almost always made after the approach has happened based on the approached's mood, immediate temperament, attraction at that instance to the approacher, and the skill of the approach.

Just remember to never approach at work. No woman is worth risking a job or harming your career.

I agree with her completely, which is why I avoid hitting on women at all. Not one has ever given consent before hand, and asking "may I hit on you" is going to get me sent to HR anyway. Best to just avoid the beasts entirely.
