Yang made it clear this debate is about increasing name recognition.

He qualified for the second, and almost the third already. Different goals have been set out by his campaign team for each debate, and fewer people will be in future debates.

The season just started, it's not the playoffs yet.

I don’t have TV so didn’t see it but I have seen many clips online and what stood out was the crowd reactions. I think it was packed with the extremes

As a Canadian, be fucking glad, and I mean really really really fucking glad that you don't live up here. We have, in my mind, pretty much a woman running the show up here. Trudeau has called trades men rapists, told Veterans that they are asking for too much, and a few other wonderful things that make me disgusted to be Canadian

DNC debates were a clown show. They all looked and talked like clowns. If anyone thinks these people are qualified to represent you or any other American, you should seek professional therapy.

It takes a massive consensus majority to get politicians to change a law on anything. Government defaults to want to be nannies who protect us from everything, from politicians that won't legalize marijuana despite near 50% support leaving voters to use initiatives, to the local city council person who sets speed limits on roads way slower than necessary... the idea of more freedom rarely comes up.

Here in South Dakota we are no longer requiring conceal carry permits to carry conceal, on the other hand Noem is keeping industrial hemp illegal despite the fact Trump effectively decriminalized it... laws tend to go by party lines and members of the "swamp" generally don't like to break party lines. Most good red blooded males will lean libertarian or moderate and are free thinkers... like most men on reddit. Introvert free thinkers.

This is something you need to walk away from. Politics is entirely a show that let's you believe you have some choice in what happens in government. You dont really.

Both parties will steal your money, erode your freedoms, and leave you feeling pissed off the more attention you pay to it.

Try this for 10 days: no politics. I mean no news, no clicking around, no radio. Just fill that time with something fun. Something you enjoy. Take a walk. You may find that you just prefer to keep walking. And will be a lot happier than sticking to politics. Hope that helps.

I loathe Trump and also loathe Hillary. I didn't vote for either.

What I like about Yang is that his ideas would pretty much give everyone the incentive to do what they want to do, and take away all excuses. We would be able to single handedly kill the social justice movement with a beefed up Yang UBI. The only thing I would adjust is make UBI $2000 a month and adjust it for cost of living based on the residence of the recipient. You pay for it by cutting all welfare programs, raising taxes on capital gains, cutting all foreign aid, eliminate the child tax credit and tax benefits for married couples, and cuts to our military budget.
