Every once in a while, the wasteland of reality tv bestows a gift upon RP aware men: The latest treasure is a show on FYI called "Married At First Site." The plot: Three NYC slags have hit the wall. In their desperation for beta providers, each agrees to let a panel of BP shrinks choose their grooms-- whom they cannot meet until their weddings. Each of the three has a wildly overinflated sense of their SMV. Of course, they agree to this because "there are no good men" waiting for them.

Our hapless beta grooms are all too happy to fill the role. Here's how it plays out so far...

Jaclyn is a 29-year-old sales rep who marries real estate agent Ryan. Throughout the wedding and honeymoon, she repeatedly bemoans that she's not attracted to him. But she wants to love him because he is such a "nice guy." So he willingly puts up with her putting him in the "friend zone" while sleeping in the same bed. He whimpers through shit test after shit test. As if this wasn't bad enough...

Davina is a 34-year-old pharma rep who describes herself as "awesome." She's very attracted to Ryan R., a male nurse who loves to emote about his sad childhood. Davina naturally refuses to have sex with him because she's waiting to be "in love this time." Ryan cannot stop apologizing to her every time she gets mad-- which is every few minutes.

Finally, there's Jessica-- a 30-year old receptionist. Unlike the other two, she marries up. This Ryan (D) is a management consultant who actually has some alpha game. He bangs her on the wedding night just hours after they met. He mocks her trashy piercing. When she throws a hissy fit on the honeymoon, he has the good sense to just leave the room and tune her out.

Normally, I would consider reality tv a complete waste of time. But this one is such a laugh fest-- and such a textbook tutorial on what NOT to do. It's really worth grabbing a few beers and watching. Trust me, gents... you'll laugh your asses off.
