Say that you're reading articles about lifting or dieting, guides on improving your finances, or Aurelius Meditations, Sun Tzu or Dale Carnegie books. There's no reason you can't mix those in with your sidebar readings anyway, as they all should be part of a well-rounded MAP.

Bonus points if you can pull off AM... tell her that you're reading the Kama Sutra, and you want to practice something with her later.

If you answer "self help books" that implies you need help which could be viewed as weakness which could be further exploited by a wife who does not have your interest at heart.

Human beings tend to be motivated by self interest. If her self interest is controlling you than that means monitoring your behavior.

This goes beyond simply wanting to connect with you and is a form of policing.

IMO STFU is a form of strategy that is useful in all social contexts and a must in marriage depending on a partners psychological profile.

STFU is a powerful tool when dealing with people who are mentally ill because it gives them nothing to combat against yet you do not want to appear weak because this invites further attack.

STFU should not telegraph passivity or arrogance.

The goal is to appear transparent and not evasive while remaining invisible.

How you use STFU will literally create the emotional and mental state of mind in the person you are using it "On"

It works with children and superiors just as well as with wives. Sometimes silence is your best friend but it is what this silence "communicates" that is important to consider.

IMO it is ultimately about understanding the interaction/ intersection of conversation and psychological states of mind.

People judge you by how you speak and usually they do not know how they are judging you because they are not even aware of it.

When and how you speak goes right to peoples subconscious and influences them without their awareness.

There are things in life to talk about. And, there are things you don't. This is one of them. Period.

See most women want this fantasy that they talk about all stoic, tougher than Fuck - to all things including her emotional waves and most truly don't want that fantasy unearthed.

If you're not already a reader, maybe you should become one. Read some things you don't feel like you need to hide from her in front of her on a regular basis.

I bought a few of the sidebar books in print. MMSLP has female disclaimers sprinkled throughout because Athol Kay assumes a provocative title will get women to read it, and also because that was my first foray into the manosphere and I mostly read fiction. I bought WISNIFG on hard cover and left it around. Frankly it's advice not-just-guys can benefit from, and the examples include women. She glanced at it, found it boring, and wasn't more interested.
