A creative man can be one of the most attractive kinds of people on the planet. He doesn’t always have the best looks, or the most knowledge, or awesome social skills…but still, creative men can slay poon with the best of them.
Just think of that ugly singer-songwriter and his bevy of groupies. Or that skinny dude from college with the kickass photography skills. My point is, if you think hard enough, I’m sure you can recall someone from your life whose artistic and creative abilities helped him to pull pussy like no other.
One recent study in particular supports this theory – how creativity alone can actually make an average-looking man seem more attractive to the opposite sex. (Interestingly, this did not prove true for the reverse – men are not necessarily more attracted to creative females).
These men seem to defy the key RP principles of lifting and game. So, what gives? What makes creativity such a powerful force of attraction and why should you add it to your arsenal of tools?
One simple hypothesis for this (as explained in the above link) is that creativity can be a signal of intelligence and, as we all know, intelligent men are of high value to women. After all, Albert Einstein himself said “creativity is intelligence having fun.”
And while more research is needed to confirm the reasons behind creativity’s seductive power, one with a basic understanding of RP principles can easily conclude that creative and artistic people are more tuned-in emotionally, which we know is a critical component of building intimacy and desire with a woman.
However, I believe there is more at play here. Seeming intelligent and emotionally-sensitive are just two of the reasons why creative men seem more attractive to women.
I believe the more powerful reasons behind creative men being more attractive boils down to three simple truths:
1. Creative men are not lazy
2. Creative men are not predictable
3. Creative men are not afraid of what others think
Now, let’s try to unpack these reasons a bit…
1. Creative men are not lazy, because being creative takes a lot of work.
Laziness is one of the most unattractive qualities a man can have. You lift and exercise not only to keep up your physical appearance, but to have something to occupy your time and attention. If you’re sitting on the couch mindlessly watching a screen, it telegraphs that you are a worthless man with nothing better to do.
That’s why basic principles of MRP suggest staying active, being social, fixing up the house whenever needed and basically never allowing yourself to sit still for too long.
However, staying physically active is just one dimension of not being lazy. There’s also a huge need to avoid having a lazy mind. A lazy mind hinders our ability to engage in interesting conversations, decreases our ability to display knowledge and expertise on a variety of subjects, squanders our individual potential, and thus limits our SMV from soaring to new heights.
To be your best self, you must be as fit as possible both physically and mentally.
Of course, one way to avoid having a lazy mind is to read, watch and listen to educational content. Or to learn new skills by taking up a new hobby. However, it is important to note that these kinds of intellectual endeavors predominately engage our left brain – the analytical, rational and linear side of the mind.
I’m here to argue that too many of us neglect the importance of exercising their right brain – the emotional, creative and imaginative side of the mind.
Neither side is more important than the other, but neglecting one over the other is the mental equivalent of skipping leg day. The point is not to stop learning about yourself, the world and whatever interests you, but to be sure to balance the left with the right by making creative exercise a part of your routine, too.
Unfortunately, many of us are taught that we are not creative. We tend to categorize ourselves as being one or the other.
“I’m a total left-brain thinker” you might say.
This is a load of bullshit. We ALL have the ability to be incredibly creative. Like anything else in life, it just takes practice. To exercise creativity and strengthen your right brain, you must simply force yourself to use your imagination more often.
The problem is most just don’t know HOW to be creative. The misconception they hold is that one must engage in painting, drawing, writing or some other kind of traditional art form, which require lots of skill honed over years and years.
The truth is, there are easy opportunities to exercise and display creativity everywhere, in every facet of life at any given moment. Creativity can be expressed not only through art, but through the way we communicate with others, the way we spend our time having fun, the way we cook meals, or have sex, and everything in between.
To put this into context for married men, imagine you need to leave a note for your wife explaining some logistical thing she needs to do while you are away.
The lazy, uncreative person will write a note that explains the task at hand in the simplest, most straight-forward way possible. For instance:
“Can you pick up beer while you’re at the store?”
Nothing really wrong with this. It gets the job done. But imagine what a creative person might do instead…they would put in the effort to find a unique and interesting way of expressing this need. For instance:
“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. It’s Friday night. Beer is a must!”
Whether you like this corny example or not doesn’t matter. The point is, one gets the job done while the other gets the job done AND adds a little fun to an otherwise ordinary task for your wife. And all it took was a few extra seconds of brain power.
The fact is, most people don’t engage in creativity – of coming up with new ideas, thoughts, expressions, activities, etc. – because it’s uncomfortable. It takes work. Hell, even coming up with shitty ideas (like the above) requires a little effort. You’d know this if you ever had to sit through a brainstorm and felt exhausted by the end, despite not moving a muscle.
Instead of putting in the effort it takes to be creative, people make up excuses: “I’m not creative! I can’t think of anything good! I’m too busy! I have better things to worry about!”
We tend to distract our minds with something else, instead of engaging our imaginations, and we let the right brain atrophy as a result.
Women instinctively know that a creative person is someone who is not lazy. It’s why they will always appreciate a silly, handmade gesture that costs $0 over a bouquet of flowers that costs $100. Why? Because It takes more effort to be creative and a man who puts more effort into everything he does is a man who is of high value.
So, don’t be lazy and give your right brain a workout more often. The more creative you are, the more fun, surprising, and interesting you will seem.
Which brings me to reason #2…
2. Creative men are not predictable, because creativity is about being unexpected.
Women get tingles when exposed to a creative person, because a creative person quite literally is someone who penetrates the world with their mind in new and unexpected ways. They throw a piece of their individual self out there for others to take in – adding something to the world that’s never been there before. They combine things in ways we haven’t thought of before, offering a new perspective not seen by others.
As a result, creative people are exciting to be around. You never know what they might come up with next.
I believe this is a key reason why creative people are more attractive than those who aren’t, because nothing repulses a woman more than someone who is boring. In fact, being boring is actually worse than being disliked. If people are indifferent or apathetic about your presence, you might as well not exist. It’s why women are incredibly turned off by men who say “I don’t care” when they’re asked for ideas on what to do or where to go for dinner. Even if your ideas are terrible, it’s much better than having no ideas at all. As a wise man once said, “The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference.”
Sure, a really smart person can be incredibly interesting. But if he does not know how to share his knowledge in ways that are engaging and entertaining, he’s just a dry and boring nerd. If you’re smart AND creative, however, you know how to tell a story. You know how to put information in an interesting context that will entertain and delight your company. In essence, a smart creative person makes sharing their knowledge fun and exciting for others. It’s about the left and the right, working together.
Putting this into context for married men, you should always be trying to think of new, creative ways to initiate as well as how, where and when to have sex. You can’t master the V in DEVI (as outlined by Sex God Method) without creativity.
For example, some of my favorite all-time posts in MRP are those that demonstrate how creativity can keep sex exciting. See the coconut spa or the glowstick surprise.
These examples are so great to me because they stimulate my own imagination and allow me to see new possibilities. They helped me to see the value of being unpredictable in the bedroom, reinforcing the need to flex my creative muscles day in and day out.
The problem here is that being unpredictable and original requires trying something new and taking a risk. This is another reason why people avoid creativity. Being creative is scary! The possibility of being rejected and ridiculed is much higher than if we just stick to doing the same old, normal routine.
This brings me to the third and final reason…
3. Creative men are not afraid of what others think, because creative men have thick skin.
If you’ve ever worked in a creative field (like I do), you know the importance of having a thick skin; of being able to let rejection roll right off your back. You simply can’t survive in the creative industry if you can’t handle rejection.
If you get all butthurt and offended whenever someone expresses dislike for your ideas, they will not want to collaborate with you and will stop listening to your ideas altogether due to your inability to take criticism and rework the problem at hand.
Creative people with thin skins are those who give up because their egos are too big and too fragile to keep going when everyone says “no.”
This may sound a bit pretentious, but being creative is a small act of bravery. To expose yourself to rejection is to face what most people are deeply afraid of.
I believe the reason why most men put very little effort into coming up with fun, new and exciting ways of initiating sex with their SOs is because of fear. They think "What if I put in the extra effort and she still says no? I will feel really stupid!"
To that I say, you need to work on having a thicker skin. It’s key to being more outcome independent.
For example, when I was first starting to up my game with my wife after discovering MRP, I took it upon myself to buy a sexy pair of men’s underwear and surprise her when she least expected it. I was tired of always asking her to wear lingerie for me, and realized I wasn’t putting my money where my mouth was. So, off I went doing a little research on what women said they liked on the internet, bought something that I thought was tasteful but still unexpected, and put in the effort to set the stage for my wife to discover me in this silly, sexy attire. It took some creativity on my part. And what do you think happened?
She laughed in my face. She said I looked stupid, and that the underwear I bought creeped her out. I felt pretty fucking foolish and embarrassed, I must admit. My creative idea was a total dud. And guess what happened afterwards?
Nothing. I still got laid that night. Despite not liking my idea, my wife still told me she appreciated the effort I put in.
Someone with a thin skin would have held a grudge. They would've said “Welp, that’s the last time I do anything unexpected and thoughtful for you!” They essentially pick up their toys and go home, like a baby. Nobody wants to fuck a baby, so work on developing a thick skin.
Instead of giving up, I kept at it. I kept trying to find new and unexpected ways to initiate sex. Some have been megahits. Others, not so much. But the long-term effect has been that my wife has become more creative in bed, too. She’s more willing to try new things, to take risks and step outside of her comfort zone because I’ve shown that it’s fun, exciting and that there’s nothing to be afraid of.
In the past, if I asked her to dress up for me, she’d get embarrassed and resist. Even putting on the most basic of lingerie pieces was off-limits the majority of the time. Now, after 8 months of trying to keep things interesting and fresh, she gets excited to see what my ideas are. Just the other week I asked her to dress up for me, and she perked up and said “Okay, give me an idea of what to wear!” I told her ‘slutty catholic school girl’ and she whipped upstairs immediately, scouring through her closest for ways to bring this creative vision to life.
These are not wildy creative ideas, mind you. I do realize they are incredibly basic, and will probably seem really obvious to you. But to get her to be more creative in the bedroom, you have to lead her. Even if your creative ideas are lame, don't be afraid to put yourself out there and try something new...even if she laughs in your face.
Your mileage may vary of course, as everyone is different and in different stages of the journey. But I do believe that creativity is a powerful way in which men can increase their attractiveness in subtle and not-so-subtle ways.
In Conclusion: One of the best ways to show that you are not lazy and put in effort, are unpredictable and exciting and have no fear, is to simply be more creative.
(P.S. Whatever you do, don’t fall into the trap of writing stupid poems and love letters as a means to follow this advice. That shit is cliché, expected and pretty much the anti-thesis of applying creativity to a relationship.)
