You can do whatever you want. No one is forcing you to be rich or behave a certain way. Do your own thing and be you. Thats the only rule you have to follow.

not even joking but please for your own sake get help -visit a clinical psychologist/psychiatrist & tell him/her this in detail. and stop caring about what other people think. remember every man for himself. perhaps that step will be crucial and of much assistance than asking men on a public forum like reddit. good luck!

You can definitely wear henna and necklaces as a man, but I suspect there's a deeper concern. You said men are expected to stand up for themselves, and this is something society is still unfair about in regards to men. It's not a delusion to think that women will not find a passive man attractive. They will tell you that to your face in my experience.

There is something to be said about doing your own thing and also seeking out an accepting community of friends who value uniqueness. However, this doesn't change what it's like going into a job, school, or other social situation with a bunch of strangers and their expectations.

I have never in my life seen a news story about a woman saving a strangers life. Beyond that, there are a ton of ways they pressure us to never fail and always dominate our circumstances. Try crying because you are feeling hopeless in front of a trusted woman and then watch the 'tough love' attitude emerge from someone normally compassionate. It's infuriating. Moreover it's sad how limited their view of men can be. They can often be far less emotionally mature since most straight men have been forced to deal with a woman's unreasonable emotions with total compassion. It's like a rug being pulled out from under you when you find out it's a one way street.
