My wife, a wonderful woman in almost all respects is a school teacher. She teaches middle school, and primarily has 13 year old boys and girls. She often makes comments about the immaturity of boys, and how girls at that age are better students.

I have been a college professor in my past. I have pointed out to her that is I had said white students are the best students, or that whites can learn easier, I would be branded a racist, and most likely teach to my own sterotype.

Her reply is the typical, "I know what I see." My reply is that she sees what she creates is dismissed instantly. Can anyone provide me some good, substantiated links on the gender gap in education, and how it has swung to be the war on boys?
