Does anyone else feel like if we get rid of the idea that sex is something women give to men, and that men take from women, that we could rid ourselves of all of this "rape culture," "Schrodinger's Rapist," "men can't be raped," "getting a woman to like you before having sex with you is still rape through coercion" nonsense? Everything our culture takes as a given about heterosexual sex makes it sound like an aggressive act that seems to reinforce an entire predator/prey ideology. It's as if sex is something men do to women and if I feel like the woman I'm with enjoys it, then I'm obviously an idiot because she's faking it.

I feel like if we could just get people to realize that sex isn't some terrible thing that men do to women, and that it's okay for women to enjoy sex, that a lot of the other nonsense would just stop on its own. What do you folks think?
