50 meters is 164 feet, sounds like someone is being paranoid.

To be fair - the police are treating this exactly like they should. The statement basically reads as "This is complete overreaction, but if we don't officially put someone on it, and it comes back to bite us in the ass, we're all going to lose our jobs, so just ignore this and live your lives."

I used to live in Ladysmith, just south of Nanaimo. Specifically, I lived across the street from the high school. My work time happened to coincide with the end of their lunch hour, so my buddies and their friends would stop by randomly and hang out for a bit before I left. (I had just graduated the year before.)

And yes. I had the cops called on me. Twice.

The Nanaimo/Ladysmith school district is notoriously paranoid.

This happened near where i live as well.my wife had some of her friends over and they said there was a man who was seen near the school at the same time everyday just walking past.they said it was weird and creepy and they felt unsafe.the bloke in question was stopped and asked questions.just so happened he finished work at 3 o clock and had to walk that way to get home and passed the school just as the kids were leaving.😟

So how does the MHRM think spreading the idea that 1 in 4 men are paedophiles, but that 1 in 12 women are paedophiles, will put a stop to this exactly?

17 year old horny boys will start alerting the police when cougars walk within 50 meters of them in the park? And that's it? Equality of injustice for all! Not that even that will ever happen in a million years.
