Ask her why she hates men, and find fault in any logic she uses. Like her saying women are the good copy and men are the bad copy (notice I said bad not rough as bad was very much implied).

Ask them for reasons behind the comments. Keep asking until you get down to the final reason; bigotry, a sense of entitlement etc. If you just ask enough questions they will home in on the psychological origin of their views automatically.

Your fellow student has more of a problem with failing to understand evolutionary biology than they do with gender as a social construct. That is what you should focus on.

You need to point out that the natural corollary of your fellow student's view on men is that nature is wrong, and evolution has taken a wrong turn. You should point out the massive benefits and evolutionary significance of sexual as opposed to asexual reproduction - selectivity resulting in diversity, and a significant tendency to mitigate harmful individual mutations whilst promoting the benefits of useful variations.

That's a rather wordy summary so let me break it down in plainer language. 'Sexiness' in animals allows for fit, healthy individuals to be selected for mating, whilst those with undesirable physical traits are less likely to be successful in reproduction. I've heard it argued that that is reason why humans have evolved with hairless faces - being able to easily scan for physical problems such as Anaemia is a significant asset when it comes to quickly judging the fitness of a potential mate. Little-known fact - whilst there is no correlation between breast size and extent of lactation (small-breasted women produce just as much breast milk as larger-breasted ones), human males have evolved to typically favour larger-breasted women as an 'advertisement' of fat reserves that will help to sustain an infant through lean times. Of course, if humans reproduced asexually, there would be no opportunity for selection and the development of 'interesting' combinations of genes. I have a personal view that this is why some of the most attractive people around are of mixed race, though I'm not sure what research has been done into perceived attractiveness of mixed-race individuals. Conversely, the negative results of inbreeding are well-known.

If your fellow student intends to persist with their view that "men are the rough copy, and women are the good copy", she must concede that the entire system of sexual reproduction in all species has been a biological and evolutionary error, and that she expects the entire animal kingdom to eventually revert to asexual reproduction a la single-celled organisms such as bacteria - arguably a rather unlikely development after many thousands of years of animal evolution.

I'm qualified in social sciences not in biology so would welcome more learned contributions. I still believe I making a relatively uncontroversial claim to state that there are significant advantages in sexual as opposed to asexual reproduction, and to that extent it is rather ludicrous to conceive of either sex as 'superior' to the other, given that both play their essential roles in the evolution of our wondrous and massively diverse animal kingdom.

When I was in college and things like this would happen, I'd just stand up and leave. The times it happened to me (different topic, same idea) it came from the teacher, though. If it wouldn't effect your grades, I'd suggest maybe doing the same. I didn't pay to go to class to hear that shit. Maybe catch the teacher in their office and tell them why you left. It is their job to guide/control the class, after all.
