Because male sexuality is considered bad, and men are considered as always wanting it, therefore they can't be traumatized by rape.

If you have the opportunity to continue it, you can bring up case studies where a man's rapist was awarded child support. This is where a court has legally determined the man was indeed raped, and ordered him to pay child support anyways.

Therefore, it makes no sense for anyone to claim that physiological arousal of a male precludes a rape. Female-on-male rape happens and is called rape by envelopment.

People often think of male rape as part of a prison/jail sentence, and therefore, just punishment.

It is a travesty.

Male rape happens in many cases, both from women and other men, in prison and other locations.

Best to oppose all types of rape, by either genders as both victims or perpetrators.

I hope you backed up the girl who asked the question that you arguably should have asked first but deff should have supported. If you didn't you hung her out to dry and did nothing to help change peoples perceptions, then wondered why people aren't changing their perceptions

also in general to give a mra sided viewpoint is often to take an unpopular stance which makes it harder to speak up, which is why it's very important to help people out when they are by themselves

People are ignorant. There are a lot of misconceptions among the general public about how the male anatomy works. A lot of people mistakenly believe, for instance, that an erection can only occur if the man is turned on, and that a man will only be physically turned on if he wants to have sex. Couple that with the false belief that a man won't say no to sex he appears to want, and you have the circle of excuses female rapists use to excuse their actions, and many people use as an excuse to not take rape of males seriously.

In female victim advocacy, there is also the issue of how image affects the handling of cases. Advocates for women as victims pit the perception of men as strong and violent abusers against the perception of women as weak and helpless victims in order to garner support for legislation which will increase their power (the advocacy groups, not women in general) in the legal system. In the context of rape, this is translated into the assertion that men rape, and women are raped. The male-perp, female-victim perception is used to promote the belief that women need the protection of advocacy groups to deal with the threat supposedly presented by men... which in turn is used to convince politicians and the public to continue funding advocacy groups.

I'm a girl but I feel like I should add that a lot of people don't think a male can get hard if he's not actually aroused. It's unfortunate, and I think it should be common knowledge, but a lot of people don't believe it.

I really do feel for you guys. I was sexually assaulted once and when I realized that it had actually gotten me wet I felt worse, like my body had betrayed me. I would imagine a man would feel similar to how I felt about my body betrayal and that's not even having dealt with anything outside of yourself. Everyone believed my story without a doubt and I doubt it would've been as easy if I were a man.

There's an alternate theory which could speak to their somewhat juvenile response: men can't get pregnant and bare young. We can father young, but we don't get pregnant and we don't give birth. A man will never have to carry his rapist's baby. This is not to say the rape is any less rape, with all of the associated badness and damage and hurt and pain, but regardless of your feelings about gender-related social issues, men and women are biologically different when it comes to reproduction. This is not a non-issue when it comes to questions of responsibility relating to the terrible, violent situation.
