How does that equal “hating men”?

Seems more like a specific grievance they have with him wearing a dress, not an overarching hatred of all men.

Teaching people to express themselves is fine, but teaching little boys that their expression will be valued much more if they dress as girls will only be damaging to boys and men.

A guy/boy being into action movies and race cars and dinosaurs will never EVER get as much attention as a guy wearing a dress or skirt. So we will have a generation of young men desperate for attention, who views their only option of getting attention as portraying themselves as feminine because it nets more attention than them liking traditionally male interests.

If we can’t criticize a grown ass man for choosing to wear a dress, what can we criticize? I mean, besides straight white males doing anything masculine.

I’m neither conservative nor liberal but liberalism has allowed feminism to take hold in way too many areas of life. It’s not conservatives pushing shit like toxic masculinity or manspreading nope that’s all the left. The left is causing men to lose their damn masculinity.

I don't think conservatives hate men, you can find out what they think just by looking at the name.

They are conservative. They want men held to conservative gender roles.

I do not agree that conservatives hate women in any way though.

I can point to tradcon hostility towards intactivism and general apathy towards men and boy's issues. Even got banned from the main Conservative subreddit for my intactivist views. Guess the pro life crowd isn't very pro life when it comes to baby boys.

They don't think that men are superior/respect men more, they only respect men who fit in a certain mold of how a men should be and think.

It's all about control: if you're not with them, you're against them. Doesn't matter who you are or what group you belong to.

I have always found the supposed alliance between MRA and conservatism specious and bizarre. To my mind, they overlap only to the extent they can be used to advocate, say, "family values" or as another way of sticking it to (the extremes of) the left. When Shapiro and his ilk start advocating for DV shelters for men, for instance, I might start to reconsider.

At the same time, feminism has two conflicting goals - the first is gender equality (which of course can be interpreted with substantial flexibility); the second is the function of a womans lobby. Most of the issues we disagree with stem from instincts tied to that second goal. This is the part of feminism that I consider, far from progressive, downright reactionary.

To be fair here, neither side outright hates an entire gender. But conservatives oppose men and women who do not conform to their gender roles. That is fine and important, but only if we also have true progressives that engage with them in a process that ensures progress but separates the wheat from the chaff in the process (gay marriage - yes; defund the police - no, for instance). The problem on gender, I submit, is that the "progressives" are actually reactionaries with blue hair.

Who is a liberal? Who is a conservative? I think those who call themselves conservative have more liberal attitudes towards Men than those that claim to be liberals.
