Less then a year after Its creation, r/Menslib is declared and MRA soft sell. Let this be a lesson, any mention of mens issues is Apostasy to Feminism.

He opens doors for women at work, but they’re metaphorical doors, like the ones that lead to promotions.

So women are incapable of succeeding without the help of a man, got it.

This is astoundingly bad, like I couldn't have written worse satire if I tried.

It reads like a satire OF a satire tbh.

This is astoundingly bad

I think you could have just stopped there. It's not funny, satirical, interesting or remotely ... anything. It's just blather.

All of then are stupid, but 7 is particularly so. The actions one takes in video games don't affect the real world, so whether or not one follows traffic laws in GTA is insignificant. And if the actions did have something to do with the real world like this moron seems to think, why would making a matriarchy in Sims be good for equality?

4 is also really dumb. Everyone should have equal opportunities in the workplace. People should be promoted due to their merit. There's no reason men should give women more opportunities or more promotions due to being women

Tried to archive, apparently they have blocked that.

"Toxic masculinity" is just feminist hate speech.

You know, I genuinely loved reading books before this. I loved a good story and all the elements that comprised it. Up until the FUCKING TOTE BAG.

Seriously though, how does the NEW YORKER come out with TRASH like this????? This is heinously bad for a supposedly reputable news organization.

There actually is one rule I go by: doesn't care if people thinks he's gay. It shows comfort in one's own skin.

[–]intimacygel 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This isn't satire? WTF

[–]iainmf 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is satire. There’s a tag at the bottom.

ITT: people unable to recognise satire.

[–]KyokoG 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As a woman, I found this piece stomach-curdling, not funny.

[–]Eastuss2 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It is satire. Nonetheless your title is correct as a general rule. Feminists want to frame masculinity as only the beneficial parts for women.

Hey I cry sometimes at sad films, two notably moving ones were 'The Boy in The Striped Pajamas' and 'The Killing Fields'. The rest of that list is horse droppings.

[–]Lrellok[S] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you do not cry at then end of Sword of a Stranger, you have no soul at all. But for the trash cartoon they listed? No. Just no.

[–]Ogg66 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Never seen that film I take it it is worth watching and no I don't cry over kids films and I see a good few having children and all that.

[–]Arby01 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't remember there being anything particularly tear jerking in the incredibles, seems dumb. Now, UP, had a couple of snuffly moments.

[–]shokwave00 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My biggest take away from this is that I should read Infinite Jest.

I doubt the woman writer would date any man like this
