hey guys, so I'm new to this subreddit. I came and looked at the faq and a lot of it made sense: focus on issues men have within society. It acknowledges different types of feminism and how they are recieved by this subreddit.

But I think the best part about it is that it focuses less on what women do to fight for rights and more on pressing issues men have that can be ignored by a society with other priorities.

These posts, on the other hand, left me not feeling like that at all. What I see on the front of r/MR right now is a lot of talk about the methods women use to gain equality and many meaningless, sweeping generalizations; an issue which i thinks detracts from the pressing issues discussed in the faq!

What I want to see, as a man, after reading a thorough and thoughtful faq, is a subreddit that follows THOSE guidelines. One that talks about how we fix the problems that men encounter; not how we silence the other side or how illogical/logical it is. Those discussions are outside of the scope of the faq; so it follows that they shouldn't be included within the subreddit.
