If you include prisons that's probably true. If you're just talking about outside of prison, no, it's often women. The CDC said about 80% of males made to penetrate had a female abuser.

i doubt anyone could say, rape in prison is massively under-reported so that skews things, and most rape surveys fail to include most ways a woman could rape a man so they skew things too.

Your friend is an idiot. I don't know what kind of delusional nonsense he's been following, to get the idea that women can't achieve orgasm unless someone has abused them. Does he think the same is true for men? A weird comment like that makes me wonder if he was once abused.

As for men being raped... about 20% of male rape victims outside of prison were raped by a man, with the other 80% of rapists being women.

Of course, in prison, the rapists are 100% male. What's unclear is exactly how many rapes occur in US prisons. Some estimates say that nearly 200,000 men each year are raped in prison (for reference, about 83,000 women report being raped each year).

It may be true that more men than women are raped each year... but it isn't confirmed, and I personally won't believe it until I see some more solid proof. The 200k number appears to be based on Justice Department estimations that make certain assumptions, while the 83k are actual documented reports to the police.

So basically, we don't know for sure.

I'm betting there's a massive lack of reporting on that. Men are probably, like women, mostly raped in relationships excluding prison rapes. What can you do if she lies about contraception and make you give an invalid consent? You don't even know you've been raped.
