I was having a talk with one of my friends and we were talking about ways that women try and show no interest in talking whatsoever. It was about one woman that I noticed always walked with her eyes looking towards the pavement and she said that if she were to look up, then she runs the risk of making eye contact with a guy and then either having to talk to them or the guy believing she is interested. I told her that the woman can always politely turn them down or at least not talk to them too much but she said that guys simply don't know when to quit.

It sounded awfully a lot like the whole catcalling fiasco that came out of that one rather infamous video. I said to her that if you want guys to know they are politely being turned down, you have to go out and actually do that in practice or else guys will have no clue how to be turned down (Though I don't think men are even that clueless. I did attribute age as a possible reason why they wouldn't be as keen to it all).

So it raises the question, do men really not know when to stop talking to a woman in general? Or is this another case of just overblown proportion because of one's personal experience?
