Do you think the situation is getting any better?

The situation hasn't changed, but the outcry is getting louder, I think.

I would say things are getting better. Equal retirement age. Equal car insurance. I can only think of 2 laws that females have an advantage. genital mutilation and the rape law. Domestic violence against men is being taken more seriously.

I only know the situation in the UK.
On the whole there is a lot of equality between the genders.

It is recognised that men and boys are failing in certain areas, education, health care, suicide, legal system courts, particularly custody of children and mothers obstructing contact with fathers but at this stage not a great deal is being done.

I do think that it is only getting better because of the likes of us shout about the discrimination.

Write letters to the government, appeal lenient sentences given to females. Complain about adverts, complain to the BBC, write to MP's etc etc.

Every little bit helps. Keep complaining keep shouting.

Feminism has been stirring the pot for over a hundred and fifty years. Don't give up after just 10 years. The last 10 years may not seem like there has been any positive changes, but there has been. The mere fact that so many men and women now openly distance themselves from feminism, and just as many now openly criticize feminists is indicative of positive change. The momentum of the MHRM is only just now becoming evident and increasing.

I think at the moment we are just setting things in motion, we have formed small but rapidly growing groups such as CAFE and AVFMS, men's rights issues are starting to crop up in the mainstream media with increasing frequency. We are getting ideas into people's heads. With increasing prominence comes a backlash of course, and for the time being the voices of those who oppose us are louder. But by criticising us our opponents are just giving us more attention and exposure, and for every person who believes their lies there will be another who does some research on the MHRM and finds out about perspectives and ideas that they hadn't thought of before.

We are growing, and in the near future there will come a tipping point, a point of no return where the MHRM becomes too large and gains too much momentum for it to be driven back underground so to speak. These are exciting times to live in I think, in our lifetimes we will see the MHRM grow in size and influence rivalling that of feminism, soon we will be able to exert influence on society, there will be large scale public outcry against sexism against men and the individuals and institutions which promote it.

Perhaps things will get worse before they get better, but I personally am optimistic about the future inspite of how negative it can seem on this subreddit at times.

Yes, or at least it does. The late 80s and early 90s were particularly bad in the US. From my vantage point here, Brazil seems about a decade or two behind on a lot of social issues, but it closer when it comes to internet access. So you may be seeing the worst of it right now, but I also think influence from social media and the internet will help you learn the lesson faster from the US and UK's poor example.

If you search google's ngram viewer for patriarchy and feminism, you can see a peak in that time period. I'm not sure if something similar exists for Portuguese, but that might help give you an idea of how the ideas are trending.

Here check out a collection of articles in /r/killmarriage It's horrible here. The family courts are out of control. Just off the top of my head the newest thing is the Custodial Interference law where guys are getting arrested in Indiana . I think all American men in their 50's with a retirement check need to just leave the country. The government is just creating more and more laws to arrest more and more people over. Got to fill up those for profit jails, gotta generate revenue for lawyers. It's just sapped all the patriotism out of me. I feel sorry for my sons. I tell them just don't ever get married or have children. That should eliminate 90 percent of your troubles. Damn'd shame.
