Double Standards - even on American Idol

Here's the real question...when it comes to that, are men being too relaxed about having their ass grabbed or are women too uptight about it?

All I'm certain of, personally, is that the discrepancy isn't cool.

As I simply cannot stand that show (not because reddit told me not to), I didn't catch it.

However, things easily defined as sexual harrasment done to men is still socially acceptable. Oh, that girl is "naughty" for doing that to Steve! How cute! Had a guy done it, they'd spend half the time they devote to outtakes calming Jennifer down and it would probably hit national news.

American Idol is garbage propaganda TV. Very few non-attractive or non-politically correct people make the cut anyway. Some random hot blonde that can sing above average will make the cut over some ugly dude that can sing exceptionally well everytime. Physical looks are definitely a key in your selection and they'll even admit it ("You're so beautiful!" or the ever favorite "You're not very attractive but...[your skills definitely overrule our bias for hotness this time so be grateful]").

And, of course, women usually benefit from this hotness bias far more than men. I think an ugly woman has a better shot at overcoming her non-attractiveness than an ugly guy as to actually call it out OBJECTIFIES WOMEN!!11!!

Even if she wanted to grab, and he wanted to be grabbed, what if he had grabbed back? Quiet an understandable action for him to either assume her interest, or to assume the game rules to be as such. She's enticing him to get himself fired.
