I notice in the world today we see a lot of broken families. I see so many fatherless children, fathers who want so badly to see their son and daughters, and relationships that are breaking. Not to mention fathers get ignored by society a lot. Single fathers struggle to have a relationship and provide for their children at the same time because they usually have to work overtime to support the kids alone.

We always see the negative and highlight it in society, but I want to shed some positivity. Some stories of my own. The greatest gift is when we can share memories of our own and make others smile.

When I was growing up in the church during meet and greet there was this elderly couple my family was close to. Especially me because I always say in the back with them. Well every time my parents talked to them I would go up to my dad and ram my shoulder into his. Then we would both back up and run at each other ramming our shoulders into each other. The great part was this was in middle of church😂. The elderly couple would cracking up as we kept doing it and my mom would be face palming. She always said, “I can’t take you guys anywhere can I?”.

Then at fancy restaurants we would start to arm wrestle. My mom would scold us “you guys are gonna break something”. So we proceeded to move everything and get back to it, then she would be like “seriously? You guys only do this when we are about to eat dinner”😂

When I was little I would try to pick up my dad. Then he would be like “nah you can’t do it”, “no no you gotta let me try. If you fall on me then you will not get hurt so it’s okay.”. The one time I had to be close to ten at the time and I was like dad let me try to pick you up. And he decided he was going to help me, but he didn’t tell me beforehand that he was going to help me. So as I’m trying to pick him up he kind of jumps. And I have him like off the floor for a few seconds and then I start falling back. He quickly grabs onto something so that we don’t fall😂. I was like yes I did it. He just looked at me like “you almost dropped me.” I said “it still counts”, “no it does not”, “yes it does, we can agree to disagree”, “ no I refuse to agree to disagree. You failed” 🤣

One time we were at Habit and my dad is like “I bet you can’t eat this jalapeño whole!”. And I was like “watch me.” so I stopped over to the section that had the jalapeños and I grabbed one and ate the whole thing with the seeds.

My dad just started smiling at me and he’s like “it’s too hot isn’t it?”. I am over there, sucking in my tears, and I just look at him in the most serious face possible to say “ I don’t know what you’re talking about. This is the most a amazing feeling I’ve ever had in my life.”. Then I got my soda. I started chugging it and my dad was like oh I thought it wasn’t too hot! 🤣

It’s like my dad always said I’m the son he never had 🤣

I hope this made someone’s day better.

Edit: I am sorry about the grammer. I was laughing the whole time so it is really sloppy.
