I have a question for you guys so obviously there are different beliefs and backgrounds in the Men’s Rights movement. I was wondering how many of you have a modern take rather then a conservative take on life though. From what I have noticed plenty of you have traditional values, but you are at a point where you feel you can not have them anymore due to society. I’ve also seen a more liberal take on certain things in the comments in some areas.

So I was curious what is your take on it? For you personally do you prefer traditional roles or modern? How many of you are religious and what is your religion? Does your religion have any weight on how you view men’s rights?

I will start. I (21F) am on the traditional side and am very family oriented. My parents raised me that family comes first above all else except for your relationship with God. I do believe in roles because that is how God designed it, but I don’t necessarily think that careers is what he was talking about (which is a huge topic in the MRA and feminist scope). It’s about the way you carry yourself and how you were called to act and be. BUT God gives us free will to do as we please so if we decide that is not the path we want to go down that should be acceptable within society. I would say my faith does weigh in on how I see men’s rights. I see men as God’s creation, equally as important as women. I see men as other human beings with struggles and most of all God does say men are meant to be leaders. Yet people forget that a leader falls, they are not indestructible, they are not always strong (no human is always strong, that is impossible. This does not mean you can not be a strong person), and a leader has the lives he protects on his shoulders. Without support that leader can not do it on his own. He needs us as much as we need him. Feminism bashed men for being leaders and women for supporting them. They think it makes women weak, but it is our greatest strength. To hold up a man while he leads you against the world, they have no idea how much love, loyalty, dedication and strength it takes her. God did not call us to be apart, he called us to be helpers and leaders to each other. He would work and I would stay home to take care of the family and him, to nurture and to hold. If he shall fall I will hold fast to him and I shall work to support him and the family (if we fall may we all fall together and rise together). You see tradition isn’t about who works, it’s about serving one another the way a man and woman would. It’s because of this that I am here. To support my future husband, children, and the men in this world God created equally. I believe men go through the same things, but God never meant for it to be in silence. Your not alone. We were never meant to be alone. We are meant to support one another and hold each other up. I pray for the day men and women can see each other and walk alongside one another. To be in aw at how God created them. To marvel at each other and appreciate one another.
