It's because they think there is structural/cultural inequalities that need to be removed... through deconstruction or something.

In Spain, where I'm from, domestic violence from men against women is termed "gender violence". According to the theory, a particularity of the male gender is that they need to be superior to females, so when there is violence from men, it's "because they are women" and to assert their dominance over them...hence a special legal regime and harsher punishment. You could not make this shit up.

For the same reason "All men created equal" was written in a society that owned slaves. The feminist conception of "Equality" outgroups men and does not consider them, their lives, their needs, their experiences, to be a valid part of their project nor their ideological and historical narrative.

It's like Kantian universalism. Kantian morality reads like universalism, but if you know about the man you know there is an implicit;"Only applies to white people." in his work, even if all his statements seem constructed in universal terms. Feminist ideology is similar. They are opposed to sexism*

A feminist suffers from the same denial and hostility as an apologist for segregation and so on, a deeply rooted denial and refusal to confront the historical injustices their worldview is based on and the erasure of others humanity it promotes and encourages. To consider feminism an equality movement, you have to ignore the harm and injustice is has done men, much like to consider the US to be founded on freedom, you have to ignore slavery.

This is why even calling yourself a feminist is a sexist act that reveals a sexist worldview, no different to if I up and declared that everyone has always been free in the USA, because that is what the US was founded on, and if you dare to question that, it must mean you hate america. Slavery was due to the British, since it pre-existed the USA, nothing the USA has ever done was anti-freedom, by definition. the solution to slavery therefore is to give the white land owning merchant class who provoked the revolution more power, more control, and more dominance, since they are by definition the wellspring of freedom.

This logic is obviously absurd, but it is fundamentally how a feminist thinks due to a pathological denial of their own biases and misandry, and a refusal to confront the incoherence of their worldview and its philosophy. It is trivial to point out how this hasn't worked, and even trivial to point out how it cannot possibly work, but so long as a feminist refuses to engage in good faith and merely asserts the fundamental axioms of their belief systems, no amount of evidence can ever convince them otherwise. It is a matter of garbage in, garbage out. Because their concept of terms like sexism and equality are thoroughly mutilated and disfigured, and crucially, the tools to recognize this fact are absent from their worldview, they cannot properly be communicated with.

When a feminist says "Because historically women were the oppressed gender-" that is no different to if I said; "I am a white nationalist, because historically the US was white. But don't worry, black people can be white nationalists too. Sure, half of my peers disagree with that and hate your guts, but those people aren't real white nationalists. If you love the USA, you are a white nationalist, thats what the term means."

The "History" there is a nonsense version of history based in the ideologues own misconceptions and ideological bias. Women were not historically the oppressed gender, it is that the feminist ignores the ways in which women oppressed men and men were subject to sexism and chooses to depict history as oppressing women. The USA is not a historically white country. It is that the white nationalist ignores the presence of minorities and chooses to depict the US as historically white.

Neither of them consider the implications of their position, and neither of them seem all to keen to evaluate the evidence their worldview is wrong that the present provides. For feminists,this takes the form of angrily screaming about how all the problems men face are due to patriarchy and will magically fix themselves if only we have feminists more power, more control, more ability to craft society in their image. We have reams of evidence for how their approach doesn't work, because it is based on a fundamental misconception of reality.

Even the name of feminism is an attack on men when you understand this, because of the insistence upon a particular narrative about sexism, much like calling US patriotism "White nationalism" would be an attack on minorities. A feminist considers feminists the wellspring of equality because they are fundamentally incapable of understanding the world through other peoples perspectives, that incapability is rooted in an intellectual and moral cowardice, a personality defect cultivated in them through feminist propaganda, no different to if the white land owning merchant class of the USA had behaved similarly and routinely told slaves that the solution to their plight was for the white land owning merchants to obtain ever more power, wealth, and positive portrayals in media at the expense of their enemies. After all, slavery pre-dates them, they are the wellspring of freedom, so it can't be their fault.

Ofcourse the actual solution is to allow black people to organize in their own interests and have their own lobbying organizations, including those which undermine white power when it is unjust. This is something the feminist mind is unwilling to consider and perhaps even unable to conceive of. The notion of a mens rights organization in opposition to feminists and feminism where feminism is anti-mens rights is something that is beyond the scope of their worldview to comprehend.
